I cannot believe how beautiful that piece of pottery is! Ann, I can imagine it is even more lovely up close. I have one of Rick Bayless' cookbooks, and I love to use some of his bottled salsas and sauces as well. I too am looking forward to seeing a recipe from the cookbook displayed on your new pottery piece. You can't ever go wrong with Tupperware, and those containers will last forever. I love that pottery and I can just see some of Ann T's tortillas on that, or maybe one of the recipes from that new cookbook.

I have some Tupperware containers for flour and sugar, they're always good and sturdy and those are just the right shape for the fridge. Not that Ann ever has leftovers, I'd sure eat anything she cooks if I had the chance!

Oh Brenda you did good! Rick Bayless has great cookbooks, they are my favorite for Mexican. And that pottery is really beautiful. Now we all have to check out Tupperware. They aren't going to know what hit them if we all order!

i'm not a big fan of mexican food, but i do in fact enjoy watching rick bayless (and his daughter) cook on PBS. he is how i learned to build a pit and roast a pig. his intentsity is amazing and i just imagine his recipes are really delicious.

that tupperware is a great idea. their stuff is built to last!

Ann, I am so glad you finally received this, it must have left SA via pony express! I am glad you like everything, too. I was quite concerned. I have to give credit to Jessica as she helped me with the idea of terra cotta, and I mean Jessica had nothing better to do at her busy time than to give me pointers...lol. Thank you Jessica!

I was really worried about sending "Tupperware" to Ann, but the FridgeSmarts have become one of my favs and I thought they were a pretty new idea.

Rick Bayless was at Central Market in Oct., perfect timing. Ann, I am glad you like his style of cooking and that you didn't already have this particular book.

I love the pottery platter. It is beautiful. I will have to check out the Tupperware containers. They sound very interesting. I have aquired over the years of living in CA several Mexican cookbooks, but I don't have that one. I will have to look for it on Half.com. Great swap package Brenda.

Brenda, that pottery is really quite beautiful. I am sure you will get lots of use out of it. Mexican is one cuisine I wish I could cook, but I am kind of scared of it, that book looks great though. Interesting about the tupperware!

Now those are gifts to be thankful for Ann. I'm green over that cookbook in particular!

I really like Rick Bayless' books, every recipe of his that I've tried has been consistently yummy.

And I think that the tupperware containers are great! Ever since I've done battle with Rubbermaid about some melted lids (it seems that one set of their microwave safe containers have lids that aren't microwave safe) I've been on the look out for "reliable" storage.
