The Depression Era cookbook has me so excited & it's not even mine. I'm an amateur genealogist, antique collector, and general lover of OLD STUFF. I'm very anxious to hear your review of the book & the exact name of the book. I might have to track a copy down for myself!

Oh, please! *blush* I'm kind of embarrassed about the potholder because it's nothing too fancy, just some nice material I saw. :P

Funny story about the STewart's...I picked some up knowing she liked it and wondered how I was going to tie it into the swap box theme. Then after some research I found out that it originated in the town where my parents live! Duh! Can't get more local than that. ; )

I found the cookbook at a local five and dime store in town. I'm not sure if you can get them elsewhere; I can't remember the exact title or author but if you can't get it anywhere else, I will gladly pick up some copies if anyone is interested. There are three volumes in all!

I love cookbooks like that too. There are alwasy such great recipes that can stand the test of time plus a great read.

Would love to see that potholder, bet its lovely.

Yes, Stacy! I got just about everything there (except the Stewart's.) That place is awesome! The syrup came from a place not too far from where you are, whose name conveniently escapes me right now.

Yum, raspberry anything, red or black, is high on my list of favorites and I think the maple raspberry syrup would be especially wonderful. I know I'd like the sodas too - we don't have that brand here.
