Oh man!! Jessica hit the nail on the head with this swap box! We will be partying in LA style up here at the lake and out on the boat. Carol Ann come to the light, there is a party at the lights! LOL! Here it is yall, my HPNOTIQ X-RATED PARTY IN A BOX from our own EVIL Jessica!

Jessica sent my five things as she stated in "the letter". Rat chew on the corner of the envelope...LOL!! Y'all know Jessy!!

Thing # 1 A set of hand painted appetizer platters. This is my official second set of serving dishes thanks to the swaps. I love them!! I see anti pasta and or a cheese spread happening in my future. The colors are perfect and will go great with my dishes depending on what color scheme I use for the evening. The centers look pinkish in the pics but they are more of a light burgundy. Perfect!

Thing # 2 Hotdog Roasters. IÂm LMAO at this gift!! I had forgotten about the post on these unique grilling tools. Jessica included a copy of my candid response to the post to remind me. LOL! I have no doubt these will be the talk of the point for the rest of the summer and many more. I guess I need to buy some Ball Park Franks, they plump when you cook them, to get the best visual effect with these things. I canÂt even imagine how some might remove the finished product in my group! I guess we could do marshmallows too and have a version of an excited marshmallow man! LOL!!

Thing # 3 A bottle of the recently forum famous HPNOTIQ!! I canÂt wait to try this!! I just might be hypnotized this weekend and playing with weenie roasters! LOL!

Thing # 4 what better way to serve up some HPNOTIQ than Lighted Martini Glasses! These are so cool!! I love, love, love them!! They have nine different color options including what I would call a dico light show! Takes me back to my clubkid days, too cool! Oh man they will see us coming and leaving with these things on the dock, boat, and who knows where else. Party at the lights yÂall!! You know they will be put to good use!

Thing # 5 Mmmmm what do we have here?

Trader Joes Treats and surprises for Lucy and Chuck! Wasabi Peas (IÂm munching on these now), Chili Lemon Pistachios, Thai Lime and Chile Peanuts. Yum!! Perfect snacks to go with a hopeful little party this weekend!! Cosmic Cat Balls for Chuck with real catnip. He will be bouncing off of the walls for sure. Remember the bully stick thread linked to a while back? LOL! Jessica sent a copy of that along with a braided stick for Lucy. She will love for five maybe six minutes. She is a Great Dane and nothing like this last for too long. LOL Lucy sends a big ole Dane kiss to you. Chuck is currently playing in the box you sent and shredding the packing paper!

The whole she-bang!!

Jessica, thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is a super box of treats and fun things that will be put to good use. Your ears will be burning for a long time as I/we use and enjoy these great gifts. As I told you in my email the office crew had a great time watching me open all of this stuff up yesterday. They are amazed at the swaps, friendships, great recipes, and all of the fun we have here. Thanks again Jessica!! I love your wit and humor here on the forum and I now have that and more here at my place!!

Mellon--Lovely, lovely package. So generous and thoughtful!! She sent me a ton of stuff. My friend Mare is visiting and she remarked "It's just like Christmas!!". Oh, yah. She's been helping me get my dahlias in the ground because I have an injured left wing. Mellon gifted me with TWO hostas 'Chinese Sunrise' & 'Plantangea'. Heucherra 'Can Can'; Daylily 'Erin Leah'; Wigalea 'Ruby Glow'; and a big fat bulb of lilia 'Black Beauty'. Love, love, love it all. Everything was well wrapped and packaged. GAME TIME....girls were off to watch the ponies again! THE PREAKNESS 2014 RULES: At presant, there are 10 horses running. Rules are pretty much the same as The Kentucky Derby. This time SHIRLEY does not get to pick two horses...sorry! *To Shirley and each of her party guests (if you want to play), pick one horse and put your name next to it. DO NOT PICK a horse that someone has already chosen. *If you choose a horse and it is scratched, meaning for whatever reason it does not run in the race...to bad....LOL! *If you decide to play, please post your pick by 3PM Eastern/12 Noon Pacific on Saturday, May 17. Kappen: Nope I don't want rankings (nor do I really care how they were ranked by CR based on their broken tests) just brands so the above does not apply. I want brands to see if there are any I was unaware of. And therein lies the rub. A problem with just about every Consumer Reports test is that typically there are hundreds of brands, and often several variants within brands, and each variant and brand has its own strengths and weaknesses and directions to follow for most effective use. Consumers Union cannot possibly test them all, and therefore must test only a select portion. CU's filter criteria most commonly are the rather arbitrary duet of sales figures (where available) -- to test the most prevalent brands -- and whether the products are readily available in southern Connecticut where CU is located. Occasionally, CU will wander off the reservation to test a regionally distributed product that is not found on Greenwich or Cos Cob supermarket shelves, but such instances are rare. Moreover, if the purpose is to run standardized tests, then, a priori, any special use instructions for individual products must be ignored. Over many years, we have used just about every variant of Tide, and had no complaints. But for the past decade or so, we have used Biokleen All-Temperature Liquid (which is the version free of enzymes), with a scoop (about 1/3 cup) of Borax added to each load. Our clothes never have been washed cleaner, and we never have had any odor problem whatsoever with our front-loading washers. But the November 2011 issue of Consumer Reports, where the results of tests of laundry detergents were published, did not include tests of Biokleen, and did not test the effect of adding borax to a wash load.

z8 grammy, I actually did some thinking about my comment and it really isn't the way I look at things. I generally seek out tools and equipment and household appliances that are known to last a really long time. For some reason I look at vacuum cleaners differently but probably because I don't enjoy vacuuming. And probably because they just get kind of nasty after a while. Before the hoover, I had two dirt devils and they lasted quite a while but eventually bit the dust...er should I say bit the dirt hehehe. I looked at the dysons and thought, I don't like vacuuming enough to pay this kind of money and it looks like the same cheap plastic so I asked around my breed's group and they said to get a $2000 miele or an electrolux . OK, I'm sure those are fine units but cmon. So someone emailed me privately and said they got a hoover windtunnel and they were pleased with it. They have the same ''use it until it breaks then toss it'' policy that runs in my family. So I went to amazon and had great reviews. So that was the extent of my decision making process. The day I got it, I had vacuumed earlier in the day and tested out the hoover and it collected so much in the canister that the dirt devil missed I couldn't believe it. My main thing was being able to vacuum the stairs easily and that mini vacuum attachment that I've nicknamed the parasite does the stairs with such ease. Would I much rather have a central vacuum, you betcha. But maybe when I get older and wiser and save up some money I will get one. Until then, Hoover is going to have to suffice. Sorry for my big mouth and any remarks deemed rude and/or inappropriate.

Cathy, we gan get Hot Dog man's wife, 'Marsha Mellows' for marshmellows. She can hold two at a time. I'm only a hoping and a praying that MY swap partner forgot about this thread, or couldn't find it heee hee. ell, I did warn y'all in that thread that I was going to get them for my swap partner! That Ann has one EVIL sense of humor, LOL. I must be rubbing off on her. I almost bought myself a pair too

As for the bully stick, man, that thing stank so much, even in its store packaging, that I put it into a food saver bag and vacuum sealed it. You all can find THAT hysterical thread on the Pet Forum - just search for 'bully stick' and have 150 posts of fun reading time.

There'll be David playing with his Weenie roasters, a cat bouncing off the walls, a great Dane playing with its bully stick, a recreation of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and booze served in glowing martini glasses the partygoers could easily spot, in all their drunker stupor. And Jessica doing a demo on how to properly remove the weenie from the weenie roaster. That's not just a wild party, that's a night at the county jail!

OK you are twisting my arm. If you google 'flashing martini glasses' you will find oodles of party online stores that sell all sorts of blinking stuff. I've done the bar mitzvah circuit so I've seen 'em all! I bought mine from 'Flashing Blinky Lights', they were pretty close so I knew I'd get them faster.

As to where I got the durn hot dog things, well, ebay is about all I'm a going to tell ya.

Should've seen my hat party!) and Jessica was kind enough to steer me to some. I'll have to wait until I have my kitchen back but I foresee some groovy cosmo-drinking out of those wild glasses. I love this box! The martini glasses are fabulous, I'll have to track those down for some friends -- and those dishes are wonderful. Let us know what you think of the much talked about HYPNOTIQ! I would have to pass on the hot dog skewers -- in a house where I am the only estrogen present, that might put me over the edge---

I missed mentioning one of the nuts from TJ's, Sweet and Spicey Pecans. YUM! There are a few left as I type this.

Had a minor challenge with the one of the glasses but Jessy came through and a replacement is on the way from the company to complete my set of eight. Thanks Jessy!

No party last weekend y'all! We will be breaking in the glasses for sure this weekend and I will have the camera out to get a few pics. The roasters may make the scene too, but we will have kids of all ages around so no promises as of now.... but ya never know with my group!! I'm not a fan of having my pic taken, same for the rest of the group. I'll get the cam out after we have had a few...LOL!! I'll post a couple depending on how bad they are!
