WANTED: Finally, what a great package!

Finally, what great packages (they were packed in 2 boxes)! Thank you, thank you so much, Dolores. I can't believe you gleaned enough information to get so many of my "want those"! The package arrived this morning, but I had to wait to unwrap everything until Howard got home with the camera so I could get a picture of everything before I tore into the packages. Do you know how hard it is to look at everything for more than 5 minutes without tearing into it!

Here is everything before I tore into it.

The first item I opened was the "bikini".....bet you all thought I would be modeling it! Not in this lifetime. Actually it is the Food Loop.

Next was the "beach", Trader Joe's salts, both red and black Hawaiian, a Kuhn Rikon vase pepper grinder and a tin of bittersweet chocolate.

The next one was the "sun", Jules Destrooper butter crisp wafers and Trader Joe's lemon curd. Dolores was kind enough to include the recipe for the Frozen Lemon Cream Sandwiches, so I don't even have to look it up!

And the last, but certainly not least, is the "ocean", a bottle of fish sauce, blue/white dinner napkins and a beautiful blue sectioned serving plate, that the picture doesn't give justice to.

Here is everything together.......

Thank you again, Dolores for the awesome packages. One of first things I will be using is the vase grinder, it will be for my spices seeing I haven't gotten around to ordering another one. As Annie would say, "can you tell, I just love it"!

Sorry for the not so great photo quality on the pictures and for you people with dial-up, at least the pictures are fairly small.

Wow, that is a really lovely plate! I love blue glass. I am now wondering about those cool salts, wonder how close I am to a trader joes in niagara falls?

Finally, really nice job on this, an neat summer theme!

That is absolutely awesome! I just love the plate and napkins, but I was also just looking over the internet yesterday for those Jules DeStrooper wafers. You are one lucky lady! Nice job Doris. Enjoy marigene.

DH doesn't want to sour the relationship, however, on the other hand does not agree payment in full at this time is suitable either. He has decided to give them maybe 15% (50% of the remaining balance). Breezy_2 - the ordering of doors is done by them, not us. apparently they had some kind of family emergency which took them away for about a week. Understandably so, this pushed back the order. We have no problem with this and have never indicated we did. The only thing that may be our fault is not being up the architect's a$$ for the engineering for the mitered window because he dragged his feet. However, once again, inspection can't be done until all windows and doors are installed. So at this point the fact that the window has not been approved has not been a problem. It will only be a problem if doors are installed before we have that window approved and installed. We don't forsee this.

Linda, I would pay for some of those truffles,, they look so good, and the Raspberry jam, chile pepper apron and towel, what a thoughtful gift! Terri, how smart to hide the truffles in the freezer, but can you actually forget they are there. I couldn't! You are so smart to make a candle in that cute litte canning jar. That's a great package!

Robin, I am so sorry about your Dad and Julian, hope they are both better. Sounds like you have not had a very good day. When I tore into my package the first thing I saw was the colander, it is beautiful and will sit on my counter until needed and I will use it. You couldn't know how many times I have thought about ordering the ramekins, those are just perfect gifts for me! I love the microplane, just makes the one I bought look like, well what it is, a hand held grater. You know how much I will use the ladle, I am really excited about it, how handy and canning season is getting close! I said I would let DH claim the strawberry jam, well it is already almost gone, it is so good. I don't make strawberry jam, strawberries don't grow to well here. Vermont Maple grade B syrup, if you haven't tried it then you don't know what you are missing. I don't think I have ever tasted anything like it. I thought I had bought Vermont maple syrup, but it didn't taste anything like this. It is wonderful, I think I could drink it out of the can. Thank you again, Robin!

I'm not quite sure how I missed this one, I knew I was missing at least one. Catherine, I want to send my sympathies regarding your stepfather, I hope coming home to Linda's nice package made a small bright spot for you. That plate is really nice and could be used for so many things. The cheese tools are interesting too, I never knew there were so many tools that could be used with cheese! Annie

What a nice collection. The blue plate is very special I ALMOST sent the same salt to Janet, but ran out of room in the box. What a clever idea for a theme. I am going to be SO much smarter next time.

What do you do with a Food Loop? Nice, nice, nice!!

That's a really great collection of goodies. Love the blue plate and I bet the frozen Lemon Cream Sandwiches would look stunning on it.

Someone might have to explain the food loop to me....

I admire the theme too! Great items. The food loops have been on my must buy list for some time and I keep forgetting to order them. I'm thinking how great black salt would look under a serving of food placed in seashells.

Love the blue glass too. Another great swap package.

I couldn't believe it got there so quickly! I'm glad you like the goodies! I also took photos before it went on its way to you. I know the bikini was a stretch--my DS said "Huh?" but I know us foodies would get it!

Thats another box I was supposed to get! I want that vase grinder! I want that glass blue plate! My Trader Joe's doesn't have those salts! I'm too fat for that 'bikini' I also want that square/oblong white ceramic or porcelain piece on your hutch in the background!

I WANT TO THROW A SWAP TANTRUM

I agree, Jessica, that square white serving dish on the hutch is very nice. I really like that blue plate and the salt is interesting.

Lemon cream sandwiches sound perfect for the hot summer we've been having. And yes, I can tell she loves it. With good reason, it's a great swap package.

I got the cookies at Cost Plus World Market. I also saw them at Longs Drugstore, and a local grocery store. Hey! Doesn't anyone appreciate my Haiku poetry?!?

Great package. Those salts are way cool. Does my TJ have them? I'll have tolook harder! The blue dish is lovely and the themeis great. I'm emberassed with my them. But i guess my partner will just be glad I finally got it sent!

Oh I want that food loop too!!! My list is getting very long! I love the colour of the dish it is gorgeous.

Great job Dolores, lucky you Marigene, who deserves extra marks for waiting to unwrap the gifts!

Loved your poetry and the manner in which you tied it (get it, food loops-ha,ha) to your swap, Finally! I also, am adoring that vase grinder ~ great item! The blue dish & salts are also great!!!

Marigene, enjoy your colorful and terrific swap items! So no picture of you in a bikini?-lol BTW, I love the wood color of your dining set.

Clearly, I've got to get the Food Loop now! Seems like the next "gadget" I need! I love the themes! The plate is beautiful. I'd like to try that chocolate! Great package of goodies! Ejoy!

I remember the food loops post, I'm thinking it was AnnT that tied someone...I mean something up with them. Stuffed ribs I think? That's a great plate too!! Great package Finally!!
