I got my swap box yesterday and opened it last night. It was from Maggie2094. My Oh My Maggie, My husband was laughing at me. He was like, "Oh my Gosh Stacey you look like a kid at Christmas opening presents." I will post pictures hopefully this evening (when I figure it out).

Anyway Maggie you did an AWESOME Job with the box! I absolutely Love everything. She even thought of my girls. She sent a beverage & cookie mixes for them as she picked up that I cook with them regularly. The tin box oh "THAT TIN BOX" Maggie what can I say except I love it. It will come in handy. When I do the Pictures I will do a more detailed list of what was sent.

I would like to do a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Maggie. Thank you so much for all my goodies and the heart-warming letter. You did an excellent Job putting my box together! You really did a wonderful job figuring me out!

Do the apricots seem to hold their color like the orange? I prefer pink colors but wasn't thrilled with how they faded. But the orange gets an A+. I've had to water other plants but not these guys. Received traded fire last year and some stayed fairly true and some turned a bit wild and grew more free form. There's also deep apricot I'll be trying next year. And FYI, for anyone looking to purchase seed (which tend to be a little pricey), Swallowtail Garden Seeds has all the colors but you need to look in the "bulk" section of their website. And the prices in the bulk section are more reasonable. Becky

If you like the store then go work for it part time. I did. It was a dream come true. The people are hired because they know the merchandise and are users. You get big discounts and that is why most employees are there. Everyone is part time. Throw in your cooking stories and you will have a ball. The staff is made up of people like all of you who will become life long friends. As you see them as a sales person is truly who they are.I have been to them all over the country and I know you all agree. They knew me as a customer before I had cancer and when I got cancer and was bored they said come be with us and pick your own hours. They begged me to. I did and gave cooking demonstrations. I was so alive and happy doing that. The best customers in the world go in there and there is no pressure. I was too sick to stay but it was my decision to leave. After I was done with cancer I celebrated in many ways and one meaningful way was with them. You betcha. At this time of year I do think of my dear, dear friends who are working very hard and I go in to give them a few hundred quick kisses and hugs. I hope one of you does work for them.

OK OK OK! All you impatient people. HEE HEE! Everything on the table except my baby girl, Abby. She had a blast helping me. The first picture is everything wrapped.

Next is the contains of that metal box which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I think I mentioned that?

Lastly everything all unwrapped!

Sorry pictures aren't that great. John's usually the one taking them. Maggie provided a detailed list here is it is as follows:
For the GRill: Wood Chip & Chuck Bin, Hickory Chips, Seasoned Skewers (which I didn't know were available YUM!), BBQ Grill & Broil Seasoning, Cuban Mojito Sauce, & Soyaki Marinade.
Trader Joe's Treats: Chili Lemon Pistachios, TJ Dark Belgium Chocolate, & Sea Salt Crystals
Goodies for the Kids: Salt Water Taffy, Whale Cookie Mix, Whip Stir Peach Lemonade, & Chocolate Covered Pretzels.
Just because I (Maggie) that is was cool: Alfresco Hanging Jars.

Bubbeskitchen, you are right she did have a whale of a time. FUNNY FUNNY! That handle is a mini whisk attached to the peach lemonade mix.

Thanks for all the nice comments about Abby. I just nothiced she has a hunk of green gum in her mouth. Really her tongue it that color. Believe me she is just as funny & sometimes Mischievious as she is cute. She is #3 and I have heard that is a common trait?

Anyways.... she keeps us laughing!

Great stuff. Is it too late to request seasoned skewers and light-up cocktail glasses? Why don't I find this stuff?
And what are Alfresco Hanging Jars? I probably want them too, but I should find out what they are!

I'm loving those skewers, I've never seen them before. Seems there are always a few things that turn up in these swaps that I end up seeking out and buying myelf...thats in addition to all the stuff I buy me when doing my swap shopping!!! Deadly!

Yeah! I'm a #3! I'd better start living up to the reputation!

What a great package Maggie! And Abby looks like the perfect helper Stacey. Christmas in July is such fun!

Definitely report on those skewers. Where does on find them? Boy these swaps are dangerous. I keep finding out about all kinds of stuff I really need!

I have to tell you, I sat here this morning and ATE 1/2 a TJ Belgium Dark Chocolate Bar that Maggie sent while doing some computer work. YUMMY oh quite Yummy. I have to tell you Abby "Had to have a taste" I told her you're not going to like it. She didn't of course.... not sure if she really didn't or the power of my mind game worked. BECAUSE I know she'd clean me out if she did.

OK onto those Alfresco Hanging Jars that some of you have mentioned. So neat! They remind me of pint size jelly or canning jars. These jars are tinted green glass they also reminds me of our West Virginia Hand Blown Green Glass (anyone know what I am talking about?).... anyway The jars have a wire attached for "hanging" purposes. There were no instructions so......

Here are my thoughts of uses... Please inform me if I am off base?
1. Growing herbs in my kitchen window hanging down from the ceiling.
2. Hang them from a corner of ceiling at different lengths with vines coming from them.
3. Add candles and hang from those iron hooks coming up my walk way? Light them or use solar candles for evening parties or guest?

Not sure how I am going to use them yet. Feel free to offer any suggestions? Thanks Bunches
