WANTED: Swap Update

I apologize for not posting this sooner. I have a friend visiting and we haven't been home much. I'm a little behind on the Exchange and need to get caught up in my reading and posting to all the threads.

Well the deadline for shipping is today,Saturday, July 22nd. And I have to confess that I haven't mailed mine out yet either. So I'll be mailing express so that my partner doesn't have to wait much longer.

My records show that 28 boxes have been received. If I've missed anyone please let me know.

You mean I actually made it before deadline?? I am amazed, lol. Well, except for one little thing that will be sent next week because I didn't get it processed in time....

Mine went out yesterday...delivery should be Mon. or Tues.

Howdee there Awesome time off with the hubby. We had a lovely well deserved vacation on the coast. My mom has a house in Crescent city and she is always wanted me to come and use it but hubby and I just love Gold beach. I am so happy all the mailers are getting back home and with such speed. I only host these two swaps and they are more fun each year. With this being the 10th year for the Acres Edible swap I really wanted it to be out standing. In past years there has been trivia and awards and such fun. Perhaps next year :) Now its off to sort seeds from my seed orders for my garden season. I will start my tomatoes and peppers, eggplant etc. next month. I grow about 200 extra plants each year and sell them locally. With the 100 assorted plants I start each year for my self for my garden it sure becomes a jungle in the green house. Happy gardening Acres

I am all too familiar with clutter. So acquainted, in fact, that I think most of it has become permanent features to the house. We have so much stuff now, we are having to move & build a bigger house. All of this "clutter" is actually things that we need & use regularly. We are just running out of spaces to put things. My husband & I each have our own hobbies that require a room all to ourselves to store everything. My plants have taken over the only usable guest bedroom, our closest shelves are on the verge of falling off the walls, his computer room can barely contain what he has in there, my art room you have to be an expert rock climber to get around in. I have always been one of those people who has the compulsion to hide things. I have things stuffed away in all cabinets through out the house, on top of the cabinets & refrigerator, stuff is under the beds, in drawers with clothes-if it can fit in a spot, I will squirrel it away. It helps keep my house looking nice & tidy.

Mine wet Thursday but won't get there till Thursday. Hope that doesn't make it the last one, I'd be embarrassed since I whined so much last time about mine being late.

Mine went out Tuesday in two boxes and I have no idea when the heck it will be there. Post Office said 5-7 days, so it should be any time. Of course, one box will be there soon and the other will take an extra week, it's the Postal Service after all.

Mine will go out Monday UPS. Like I had posted someone west of Nebraska will get a box full of canning supplies from girlsingardens but with no note in it. Also will find half a dozen jars of home canned goodies from my canning closet.

OK, so who has sent a package that hasn't been rec'd yet? (besides me...:-) ) These lists confuse me...those names must have been the "sent" boxes, right? eeek, forgive me - I haven't rec'd my box yet...and as usual going nuts trying to figure out who it's coming from!!!

wait, no, that list is the names of people who have received theirs, right? so to figure it out would take some figuring - looking at each thread to see who sent to each, and comparing to the list of participants...Ann, how can you do this to me??????? lolol...

So this must be people who HAD received as of 7/22 because Janet HAD received the box I sent but I HAD NOT received Jane's box as of 7/22.

However, I HAVE received my box from Jane now. UNDERSTAND?

My package has been shipped! I'm usually a little more ahead of things but July has been way, way busier than I ever expected. My little part time job has turned full time for now. The store mgr can't believe how well I get along with all the foodies and is rewarding me by increasing my hours....grrrr! Actually I'm having fun and realize things will slow down in a few weeks, so what the heck.
