WANTED: Oh My!!! How may winners???

I got a wonderful treat in the mail today!!!!!

Diana sent a very special note saying how all of us who had inquired had won a prize and that all of the prizes were signed photo prints from her. I have spent more time than I'd like to admit - looking through Diana's photo albums - admiring her talent and wishing I had something to call my own...(I love to have original artwork - even if it's from the second graders at Will's school...) and now I have something of quality!!!!!

He thinks it beautiful as well....(but he doesn't look quite as manic as he does in his photos.. - lol)

Diana, you are a gem. thank you sooooooo much. I will get back when I have a destination for the gorgeous photo - I can't wait for Scott to see it - he's gonna LOVE it!!!!

Socalgirl, While I don't know a thing about onions my best advice to you about the garlic is to Google "how to grow garlic" you will find umpteen different sites telling you what you need to know about when and how to plant them. Seed bulbs are just like the bulbs you eat...the only difference really is the size of it. People grow big garlic bulbs just to sell to others like yourself. There are many different outlets for planting stock out there and is easy to buy online. Ebay is a good source for garlic bulbs in September. A local farmers market is another. I would not go to the big seed retailers your first year growing though..they're pretty expensive. You can go to your local grocery store and buy some bulbs in October-November and plant those is you want to play with the idea of growing garlic without a big outlay of cash. Hope this helps

Tiger is a "white bengal" breed & he is beautiful. :) He's past the worst of the kitten stage...almost 1yo...so he doesn't bother me much when I'm sewing anymore. He has another kitten companion to keep him busy now. But he & the other will come lay down on anything I put on the floor. Seems as though ALL the male cats I've had have done that. Today, my daughter was doing chores & showing me how she folded blankets in China. Tiger was all over that blanket holding on with his claws. Looks like I'm going to have to make a few more of these blocks to make a complete quilt.

hello I finaly got the chance to barrow a computer. I was so surprised to get the envie in the mail this week, I just had to sit right down on the floor and lay them all out(it was clean of course) I just cant wait to get my sewing stuff unpacked, well we need to move into the new house first. we can start moving in next weekend. I love all the fabric you all used, I just kept saying ooo! I like that one, and that one and that one... well you get the idea. it was a great pick me up. thank you everyone big HUGGS michelle

Oh yea for me ~LOL~ I love this little block. I was planning on making an apron with at least one of the blocks if I won! I love to garden and cook, and my aprons are getting embarrassing:) I only submitted 1 block on each of the Lottos that I have won this year - proves you have a good chance of winning, even with one block in the drawing!! I am a winner also! I am thrilled to have a print from Diana, and will always think of her when I look at it. My DH is still drooling over it, and we're deciding on how we want it framed. Thanks again Diana! Debbie

I posted on the other thread too. I was so excited when I came here I didn't even see this thread. LOL

I agree, this is *some* consolation prize!!! I think it's also the first thing I've ever won. How's THAT for luck?

Oh, yes, I got one too, the Antelope Canyon photo that I've drooled over and commented on and gone back to see more times than I should admit!

What a wonderful surprise and what a lovely gift. Ashley has volunteered to decide on a frame and just the right place to put it.

I posted a picture of mine on another thread, it's just so beautiful. Ashley left before I could make her hold it, so the photo of the print isn't great, but you get the idea.

Thank you, Diana, for a beautiful print that I'm proud to have, and one so unusual that I'm sure it's going to get a lot of attention.
