A Mini End to the Mini Swap

I'm finally posting the contents of my 2nd package from Allison. Sorry it took so long. It has been a hard couple weeks.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words of sympathy. The shocking speed of my friend's disease and death have been a little overwhelming. All of you are wonderful to be so supportive. This is a great place to hang out!

And I'm sorry Allison I started whining about my package. I was just trying to be funny. But then I also began to fear that it was lost and was sorry I had ever said anything. It was really thoughtful of you to send this 2nd mini package. It would seem you sent it about the day that the 1st box arrived! Sorry these pictures are blurry. Did them in a hurry since it took me so long.

Ginger chews! Have not tried these yet. I'm still working on the wonderful collection of chocolate from the 1st box. (My diet has gone to hell.)

MMFffgghhh grrrrgmmllee *POP* - Thats the sound of me trying to talk with a foot in my mouth, and finally removing it. I see this thread got bumped up...I want to take the opportunity to apologize to all. I re-read what I posted about thank you notes being 'common sense and courtesy' and I find, upon a second look, that it was bossy and inappropriate. I have received thank you notes for my boxes, so I'm feeling guilty - and I should not have imposed my feelings here! And now back to our regularly scheduled program...

LOL here too Diane! I fianlly decided on a theme, which was not an easy task, was it Stacy? Stacy was helping me come up with a theme when she was here last weekend. While visiting Meredith's work place I spotted something I really loved but how would I work a theme around "it"? That night I thought of a theme that would be great for "it". Now I'm pumped I have a theme I really love.....so time to get things moving! Found the next item at a favourite store of mine, perfect I love "them"! Mentioned the swap to the owner as I was paying for "them" (actually she said "Oh another swap, where to this time!! LOL) and she says "Oh then, you have to have "these" and I did but I still don't have "it". So when I get back from the cottage I'm going back tho the first place and hope to heaven they still have "it" to put together with "them" and "these". I'm getting there!

What a great package. Those ginger chews look yummy, and it looks like you'll have lots of great uses for those spatulas. And Allison's sugars look intriguing (especially curious about the lavender sugar).

Granjan, I'll bet you'll love the ginger chews, I like every flavor except the peanut and they are definitely worth going off the diet for.

I really like the cookie mold too.

Alison, it was very nice of you to send a second package. You know, the amount of packages we mail here, it's a miracle these things don't happen more often.

More sugar than you can shake a silicone spatula at! I'm glad you got both packages, and glad the cookie mold is something you'll enjoy. (The spicy apple ginger chews are my mother's new favorite, and that's high praise -- she's a very discriminating ginger consumer!)

I can't wait until the next swap!
