have: omg i am the first!!!!

Got home last night to find a huge box on my porch. Couldn't remember ordering anything....then it hit me....SWAP PACKAGE!!

Ilisa (aka ArabellaMiller)was on her toes to get this done so soon!

And she obviously did her homework as she sent these lovely things:

1. a bottle of Jacobs Creek Grand Reserve Shiraz. Had a couple of glasses last night, it is very good!

2. A "Charm" corkscrew from IKEA. As she stated in the letter she included, "You can never have enough corkscrews!" (How True!)

3. A package of Spanish Olive Oil Crisp Bread. These are divine. Kind of like a big flat cookie, slightly sweet and crunchy with sugared almonds and a hint of anise. These won't last long!

4. Trader Joe's chocolate covered blueberries. I brought these to work to munch on. MMMMM

5. A box of decadent chocolate truffles. These just melt in your mouth! So good!

6. And a $10 gift certificate to TJ's for when ours opens up here!

7. And the box was strewn with Lindt chocolate truffles, too! Guess this should take care of my chocolate fix for a while!

Ilisa, this was the perfect ending to a long cold day! Thank you SO MUCH for all of these fabulous treats! As you can tell, I have already sampled them all, and between Tim and me, they will be gone before weeks end, I am sure! I don't yet have a digital, so I hope Ilisa took photos.

Welcome to SFG. You should never bother to feel silly. I have been gardening my whole life and still make mistakes. Gardening is really an experiment. Sometimes the best combinations happen by accident. We had some real nice weather and I went and planted my tomatoes last week, thinking that I could just cover them if it got too cold. Well, it did get cold and I covered them. Then we got gusts of up to 60mph and my cover got blown off. There was no way to rectify it. So the best laid plans sometimes don't pan out. Just have fun and see what works out. Last year I planted some companion plants to deter bugs. I had to rip most of them out because they were too large for the veggies. Well I haven't seen the pair again since the other day. Yesterday while taking a walk at the park near us (where I have five bb houses) I saw a pair down there. I am thinking it is the ones I saw in our yard, the park is only about 1/2 mile or less as the crow flies from our house. I am keeping my eyes open though for another pair. Got a little cooler yesterday and today is only supposed to be in the 30's, then the 40's for tomorrow and the weekend should be in the 50's with rain moving in. Hope they find enough to eat. Donna

You all are the best! I appreciate your thoughts and good wishes, and concerns for my undies...lol. Got a copy of police report today and there were no charges filed. The truck driver's statement and the other lone witness statement are both crap, holes that even I can poke through...on drugs...lol. I am trying to find video of the intersection and have found some (google earth) which show my intersection with a green left turn light while a yellow light was still on for the oncoming traffic lane which hit me. I think I'll set this one out and let the attorneys fight it out. But, if anyone knows of any good websites that show traffic and the process of lights changing, I would greatly appreciate it..... lol. Brenda

Ok. The icemaker can't be moved. End of story - and it will be fine. Next, I think I will do two pendants because despite the rule of 3, rules are made to be broken - and in this ousehold, there are no rules - just guidelines. The island is skinny (don't I wish I were?) and I think in a contemporary kitchen it will look a bit cluttered to have 3 on this skinny island. The fixtures I'm deciding between are 7 or 7.25 diameter and take 100W incandescent bulbs. They are replacing two high hats @120w, but hanging lower - so that should be fine. The first one is clean and contemporary, but the second one is a little funkier. My lighting store will let me bring them home and audition them - but of course, that won't be for quite a while, till everything is in. The floor will be delivered, I think, on Monday, and will sit here for a couple of days getting used to the climate before it is installed, maybe on Wed./Thurs next week. My contractor said I have so many lights in the ceiling that it looks like a "friggin runway." This gave me a much-needed laugh this morning. On the other hand, despite the sliding glass doors to the deck, we get almost no natural light because the deck faces north. I am thinking I am ready for a martini with lunch - LOL. (harks back to my publishing days when everybody drank at lunch and we all came back and actually got work done!). But I guess not...

Not sure when our TJ's will open, couldn't find a number to call them. So I guess I will just wait. In the meantime if I go visit Erin I can always use my GC at one of the Chicagoland TJ's.

I'm so glad the wine arrived without issue! As you can tell, I had a hard time with the "mini" part of this swap. There were so many things I wanted to send!

I wish I had remembered to take a picture. Oh well, you did a great job of describing everything.

I'm glad you like the wine - sometimes wine can be a very personal taste, but I love that one and was hoping you would too. I was a little nervous because you are much more of a wine afficianado than me!

OK, so where are the pictures? (grin)

I can see three "separate" items: The wine and corkscrew are one, the food items are two and the gift certificate is three. Simple as can be, and you're still within limits. Ahem. That's sure a nice box, though.

Great package. Wine and chocolate works for me any day. I really need to get going. Can't make up my mind at all what I want to do. I'm engrossed in sites on Disneyland and SW France and I need to be working on my swap package and my mother's 80th BD. Forgive me partner for being so distracted.
