I was thinking of leaving the sign-up open until Friday and having a mail out date around March 3rd. It is only three items so if I get the names matched up and the emails out by next Monday that will still give everyone more than 6 weeks.

Come on Robin, you know that you want to. And Jayne, if you don't have time to get something mailed out before you leave, we could probably make a small exception for you to mail out a couple of days late. I hope you both decide to play.

Thanks Ann, I would definitely mail in time (it would drive me crazy to be late!). I would just feel bad for the person sending to me if I couldn't post as soon as my package arrived. I'll give it a little more thought.

Oh! I wish I could this time. I was just thinking of another swap, and how much I have enjoyed the ones I have participated in. But, job market the way it is, financial uncertainty blanketing us, I'm going to have to postpone my pleasure! I can't wait to see the pics once the swap items start coming in. (and I do love these more contained, three items with a theme, swaps!) Hopefully I'll be back in the game this summer :)

Its very tempting to me but I think I'll take a pass this go round as I've just recently returned to posting on a daily basis.
I'll be sure to join up for the next swap maybe early summertime??

It's Thursday afternoon and as much as it pains me, I'm going to have to bow out also. It kind of seems so close to our just sending out our cookies...:-)

Oh, I hate to be a party pooper, but I think I'm sitting this one out, too. Now that the "Cabinet Creeps" are out of my house (Yay! The study is finally finished...well, the cabinetry is!), I need to get my life organized again. I will be checking in, though, to see the results!!

I'm going to pass this time. I love the categories, like the item limit and was excited to add my name to the list. Then reality hit this morning as I remembered all the year end reports that are due this month and all the tax prep I have to do before the March 15 tax filing deadline for corporations.

I just discovered this forum recently via the Cookware Forum via the Kitchen Forum. But I have been on the Gardenweb Forums since "First registered on May 8, 2004",. Actually I go further back then that but changed my handle so changed the date, I think.

And where do you find a posting explaining the rules? You can read all the old posts but 1)that takes a lot of time and 2)doesn't really explain "offically" the rules. Is there a place that has the official rules?

Ann, I'm going to have to be removed from the swap. My piano lessons are taking a lot of my time & extra dollars as well right now. I hadn't planned on this second teacher. Maybe, by the next one I'll have myself a bit better organized. I'm sure looking forward to seeing all the goodies though.

Clare, it is three months on the Cooking forum. Three months gives everyone a chance to get to know new members and vice versa. We put this condition into effect because we had lurkers signing up to participate in a swap. In some cases the new member had been lurking for a couple of years and felt like they knew everyone. The problem was that no one knew them. Most members are more comfortable sending to people that they have come to know.

Tricia, I'm sorry you won't be playing this time, but I read your other thread and I can see how you might be busy the next little while.

I'll be watching from the sidelines this time, and it will be killing me as I am not usually a party pooper! My job is really crazy during the first quarter of the year, and we are repainting several rooms in our house. I'm excited for all that are participating!
