Any Suggestions For "After Christmas" Music

I love the compilation of Christmas music that fills my home during the holiday season. I will really miss it. I'm talking about the more low key songs with uplifting melodies, like Silver Bells, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, etc.
I'm wondering if any of you can suggest music to fill the void. I'm looking for something other than New Age. Most easy listening artists that I'm familiar with tend to do more "downer" type songs - heartbreak, loss, etc. Part of the appeal of the Christmas music is the positive feeling I get from it.
Anyway, thought I'd post the request here among other cooks and bakers who might also be music lovers.

I love my ragtime CD for its peppy, upbeat melodies. It is the "Picnics" cookbook and CD from Sharon O'Connor's Menus and Music series.

Another recommendation is Celtic folk music, particularly the CDs that focus on the hammered dulcimer with fiddle and bodhran accompaniment. "Toe-tapping" music for sure!

Thanks, Teresa, for your recommendations. I realize tastes in music are subjective, but I thought casting a wide net might point me in a new direction. Your suggestions are good ones.

Oh I love jazz Sax. Here are a couple of performers and any of their CDs would be good. I think Boney James is the best and I love his music..sexy. Anything he does is good and I have most of his CDs. Seduction is my favorite though. Another really good musician is Richard Elliot and any of his CDs would be good. There is always Kenny G and he's wonderful but pretty mainstream and does more pop type music. Boney and Richard are considered smooth jazz. Then there is the very very traditional old sax players but I don't know a lot about them. Heck...I forgot another one who is excellent and I've gone to his concerts and have his cds too...Dave Koz. Everyone likes him and again you can't go wrong with any of his music. My favorite album of his is- The Dance and I play it a lot. Good luck to you.

I have a stereo in the kitchen, but it's mostly for listening to Christmas music while I'm doing the Christmas baking. Kat, I bought that Andrea Bocelli CD for the boss for Christmas, she loves it. You might find me listening to darned near anything, depending on my mood. Right now I have five CDs in the stereo: The Beach Boys Charo (thanks, beanthere, I still like that CD!) Norah Jones "The Fall" Ravel's "Four Seasons" The London Symphony Orchesta and Beverly Sills "the Barber of Seville" OK, so the last one is Elery's, he grew up listening to opera in the Italian grocery where he worked as a kid and he loves it. Tomorrow it might be The Everly Brothers, Kenny G, Willie Nelson, Journey and Beethoven, you never know. Neither do I.... I listen to nearly anything except rap or really loud "headbanging" stuff, that gives me a headache. Oh, and Lady Gaga's latest thing, Ashley loves it, I can't stand it. Annie

So I wanted to report back on our trip to thank everyone, and help out future travelers. We were there for a cold cold 4 days. Luckily we had a heated pool where we stayed. (Angelina guest house. I recommend it. They have a website if you are looking for a place to stay in KW.) We rented bikes and easily rode everywhere. It's very compact, flat, and on a grid layout so you don't get lost. Ate mostly bar food. Second breakfast at the southernmost restaurant on the beach was good. Fantastic bloodies and biscuits and gravy. Late nite flat jacks. (or it might have been jack flats). Was very good. Get the Mahi sliders and tater tots. Also found a great slice of east coast pizza and a coke right by angelina and duval. We went to see live music. Good at margaritaville, smokin tuna, and hogs breath. Saturday there was a craft fair along the water with jewelry, etc Cuban coffees and mojitos and great cigars in Mallory square at the Cuban place Best meal by far was in islamoralda at loralie's. Cuban sandwich was great. Very friendly We had a great time and will be back.

I've always liked Windham Hill and George Winston. I have the first 3 (I think) of the Winter's Solstice CDs, and George Winston's December. If you take a look at their listings on Amazon, there are many. With Pandora, you could enter "Windham Hill" or "George Winston" and get a variety of the same genre.

I second Windham Hill. You might try looking for regular albums of artists you enjoy listening to at Christmas. For example, I adore my Nat King Cole Christmas album and first got introduced to Perry Como via his Christmas album. Both artists have an extensive repertoire outside of their Christmas music. But with every artist, you're always going to get a mix of stuff you like and stuff you don't like. Back in the day I used to make "mix tapes" to listen to for that reason. I know I could do the same with digital downloads these days, but I no longer have the discretionary time that I once had, lol! Nor the time and money to buy and learn the new technology. BF and I enjoy Spotify and Pandora, which you can somewhat customize and tailor to your taste. You also get some of that same niche type playlist with satellite radio stuff but I don't have that either, just have listened to some channels on my dad's car radio.
