Today is the fourth anniversary of Bob's death and I just wanted to come here and say another thank you. As I look back on the last four years, this group and its support will make me forever grateful for how you helped me through the most difficult days of my life.

It's quite a blur. I barely remember shopping for the kids, making dinner for 15 people on Christmas Eve, the wake, the funeral. But I will never forget the concern and outpouring of love you showed.

I never thought I'd be happy again, much less THIS happy. I am in love with a wonderful man that I am proud to call my husband. We share a house I love with six kids I also love. Bob's kids and siblings are still a big part of my life and we will be celebrating the holidays with them and my new family.

I am back at church every Sunday and I thank God daily for bringing me to the support group where I met my husband.

Life is good. Life is amazing. I am blessed.

I do still miss Bob and still want to pick up the phone and call him to tell him some news I heard or talk politics with him. Honestly I don't want that to change.

So thank you for reading...now and back then. Thank you for listening. Thank you for talking. Thank you for being there for me, even if you live hundreds of miles from me.

Oh, Lori .. I was just thinking about you and Bob yesterday. I'm so glad that you have found real happiness after all of the sadness.

Oh, yeah, Dalette - you've found a passion that will challenge you, that will fill your days with a lot of joy and just a bit of sorrow (we all lose a few...), but it's a hobby that will keep you busy once you get into it. Plants (Hoyas & succulents) have been a lifelong hobby for me because I don't have children - I imagine trying to do BOTH would be challenge a lot of people couldn't handle! Which probably explains why the cactus/succulent club I belong to is mostly us older folks! Denise in Omaha

I must also thank all those who advise here. Because of ya'll and the things I've learned here over the last year or so, my HVAC guy says I'm the most informed customer he's had in quite some time. Oddly, we also ended up with the very same system he has in his own home. THANKS AGAIN!

Eva, I'm sorry about the malignancies. We will continue praying for Barbara and keeping her in our thoughts. Thank goodness she will have someone there to help her through the summer. Lori I am so glad to hear how things have settled in for you.....to me it seems like only2 years ago! And I am sure in some ways it does for you too.

I always think of you today - its my dad's bday as well, so it is easy to remember. I still recall your thread title - 'How do you tell a six year old....'

Your story is an inspiration for all who have suffered a loss.

I also remember that said thread to inform us of your loss. I was in disbelief. Life sure can change on a dime -- both for the worse and the better.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your life. It warms my heart to know that you are so happy now. I know Bob is still watching over you and the kids -- and hurray for Seth!

Wow 4 years - it's so hard to grasp that. Seems like just a few months ago Lori.

I'll never forget the pit in my stomach as I read what happened to Bob and then, you and the kids and what you went through. It was definitely a wake up call that anything can happen, any time.

I am very happy that your life has turned around and that everyone is happy once again.

Lori, you deserve the best life has to offer. I couldn't agree more with Mustangs/Cathy's statement that you and the kids are obviously magnets for the good in life. May your happiness and contentment continue forever!

Lori I'm so happy to hear that you have so much joy in your life! I have very fond memories of meeting both of you a few years ago. I know you thought you'd never be out of that dark place after Bob's death but God is good as you know. Look at the blessings you've found!
