| I made mention of a little obsession that I have in the thread about age. It's taken up some of my computer time lately.
I watched American Idol (season8) this past year and felt so strongly about this singer that I've become a real fan. It has been really exciting to see his climb. He will be on the American Music Awards this Sunday (Nov 22) and I can hardly wait! He will be preforming. His first album drops on Monday (Nov 23). The entire album was leaked today on the internet, so I've been in rock heaven all day.
So there you go, Gina! Yes, my obesession is Adam Lambert. I can't get enough of his voice, it just gives me chills. I feel like a very proud mama.

| Oy - sometimes I feel like I live in a cave. I have never heard of Adam Lambert, but I do watch GH once in a while and have been wondering about the James Franco character. I will have to listen closely the next time the clip is on! Alexa |

Here's a clip of one of the first hints of the Franco character with the song as background. They show a little more of the mysterious studio each time, and now they've started working just the tune of the Mad World song in here or there. I think tomorrow is the first actual appearance of Franco. I've seen a couple of previews, and he's really creepy. It's a perfect song for such a dark story line. I can understand Nancy's obsession with Lambert. He's very talented and charismatic. Loved what he did with One by U2. (And I'm sort of obsessed with the actor at the start of this clip, so I get it. LOL!) |

| Another mama obsessed with Adam Lambert. What strikes me about this young man in addition to his good looks, style and unbelievable talent, is that he seems to be so genuine and humble. He's a true treasure. |

| Did you see him last night on the AMA? He closed the show with a great performance. It's like Mercury, Bowie, Cher, and Kate Bush all wrapped up in one great package. Not sure if Idol has any control over him or not. I hope not, as I think he will do well if they let him do his thing his way. David |

| I saw the clips from the AMA performance. It wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and it did get censored on the west coast (thus, I went looking for the original clips.) It was a wee bit graphic for me, but when I listened to an intereview he held after the performance, I thought he explained his POV about the performance very well. If anyone thinks they are going to control this guy's career, they may have another think coming. He seems to have some very clear, definite ideas about how he wants to perform and why he's doing the things he does. To that, I say good for him! |

| Saw the whole thing and recorded it too. I applaude what he did... but remember... Adam is one smart guy and he was really wanting to shock the world and entertain too. He has been trending on Twitter for over 24 hrs now...mission accomplished! He'll be on GMA and singing a different song on Wed morning and Letterman Wed night. I think you will see a different Adam then. I recieved my pre-ordered album today and it really does have something for everyone on it. The press he's recieved today is really good, the album is already hitting #1 on Amazon and almost as high on iTunes. There will be lot's of Adam on the radio soon! He's amazingly sexy and the voice.... too bad the AMA had audio problems last night. |

| I missed it - (look at my post on Discussions to see where I was!) I did catch a poor-quality video on Youtube. I had heard this song before. It's too pop-bubble-gummy, trying too hard to be fierce, copy Lady Ga-Ga, crotch-grabby, etc. for me. But I'm not the target market obviously. I'm tired of the gyrating, thrusting, sneering, dominatrix sex innuendos of today's pop. It's overkill and rather silly. And it doesn't do him justice as a performer. I mean, where do you go from here? :-( |

| And CBS jumped at the chance to have him on. Tomorrow. He will be singing two songs and they are much different from the For Your Entertaiment song he sang Sunday night. |

| I have to be smug and add that I was a KB fan back in the late 70s when she first got started. I saw her perform Wuthering Heights on stage at the Korea Song Festival. Everyone was like WTF? and I was all OMG! |
