LOL.. yes Dedtired, you do have to go sort of slow on the zooming in to figure out where you're at. That was fun.

Yes, I did indeed enlarge the map to try to put myself in NC, but wound up in MD and there are no instructions as to how to cancel out a mistake.

Sorry that this is so difficult for some of you. The trick is to zoom in. Unfortunately the only one that can move the pins is the administrator(that would be me). Triciae I have thrown you the life ring and moved you onto dry land in the center of Mystic. Teresa nc7, I only find you in North Carolina, but I am a bit tired this evening so maybe I am missing you in MD.

LOL Sue, it is pretty small but I tracked you down. Near Route 31. We have a branch of our family in the Poconos and we have often gone up 31 to get there.

I think the key to trying to find your area is to make sure you keep your area or icon centered in the map as you slowly try to zoom. Also, don't click place pin until you have zoomed as close in to your area as you wish.

FYI: Interesting, I can view the map using IE but not Firefox (my go-to browser).

So much fun - I'm a visual person and seeing where people are is great. Hope more get pinned.

BTW, I'm using Firefox, but on a Mac.

I went ahead and put myself in the right place; I'm sorry...I'm on the map twice. How frustrating not to be able to edit myself!

When I enlarged the map, I discovered that I have my self on the wrong side of the river. Guess I'll just stay there.

Looks like I'm swimming in the Willamette River.

Ya know, eileenlaunonen (Eileen) has been drifting towards the vicinity of Georges Bank fishing grounds for several days now. The fishing's great & I know the Feast of the Seven Fishes is coming soon...but it's gonna be a loonnnggg swim back to Long Island hauling her catch! :)

Linda, I'm a thinkin' Eileen is busy & hasn't noticed how far out she's drifted & is in need of the life ring you tossed me. FYI for where to toss the ring...Georges Bank is east of Cape Cod. :)

You can zoom in really close on this map - even to get the correct lot identified. I tried to do this and put myself on the correct street (I think), but on the wrong side of Benjamin Avenue, and so I'm a few doors down from where I am on the map. It was interesting to see where some of the other SoCal members are visiting.

Thanks for setting this up! It's a lot more detailed than the one we had before.
