| We went to see Cavalia! this past weekend and it is an extraordinary show. It is a special treat if you were ever horse crazy as I was as a kid.
Imagine 8 or 10 unbridled horses "loose" onstage performing numbers with complicated choreography, including dressage or 'high school' steps with no rider.
There are over 50 horses that perform, including two young colts. About half the horses are stallions, the rest geldings. There are no mares. Many of them are brothers or half brothers. Many appear to be part arabian but other breeds are represented, too.
The human acrobats were outstanding, too, but my eyes were usually on the horses.
Anyway, I highly recommend this show if you get a chance to see it. |
