Go Rangers!!!!!!

I have to admit to being a fair weather friend, but I used to follow the rangers when my son was playing youth baseball. We used to go to the games back when it was still affordable. It's a whole different team now, but I'm rooting for them anyway. They've never made it this far.

I'll say it again,

Woo hoooo! Go Rangers!

From e-mails and posts, it sounds like Secret Santa has a great many presents in transit. Yahoo! Keep posting when you receive yours! :o) Being the head Secret Santa, it seems like it's the North Pole here!!!! We've had freezing temperatures. (One night this week it got down to minus 15 degrees here. BRRRRR!) Then, a MAJOR snow storm hit us. We have 3 feet of snow on our deck now...most of which came non-stop yesterday and last night! I just spent 3 hours plowing us out, and IT'S STILL SNOWING! It's so pretty though out here in the woods. All of the schools have been cancelled so I have the day off from teaching. It's a bummer though as we had to cancel our Christmas concert last night, and our class party is tomorrow, the last day before break. Many roads have been shut down as well. IT'S THE NORTH POLE! Ho Ho Ho! I'll attach a picture looking out our deck doors just now. I'll also attach a link to the deep snow we got in January (for those of you who didn't see my post back then) which kept us out of school for a week! Bear Hugs! It dies to the ground for winter and comes back - strong. I don't know how long that pot will last - the roots get pretty big. Looks great! I'll have a few volunteers for October, if anyone is interested.

No such thing as irrelevant - speaking for myself, I love to see pics...and you have trees/plants in all your pics...so that's pretty relevant to me! By the way, when you see your fingerprints in a picture, you KNOW you can take a good pic! Congrats. Blackwyld, Got 2 questions for ya. First, what is the difference b/w SLR and a regular digital camera? I know that SLR is much better (and I can probably look up what SLR means and why it's better..but I thought I'd just ask you). Too bad I just bought a new camera before I saw your gorgeous pics! But it would be much too expensive for me right now anyway, which X-mas coming up. Second, what setting do you use to take those gorgeous flower pics? I like the in-focus flower pic and out-of-focus background. Thanks :) On a side note - it's funny that when I look back at my full jade plant pics, part of me actually likes the dark green foliage (in comparison to the light foliage it has changed into since being in the sun). I wish I could keep that dark green foliage with the added red tinge - oh well, not gonna complain! Gabi

St Pete Beach, actually St Petersburg Beach is south of St Petersburg, which is on the water, west across the bay from Tampa, FL. I live north of Tampa and don't get there very often. Probably good thing it's not real close right now cuz I would be right back over there ringing some more doorbells! Lauri In this pic it looks like there are four big ones and one small, actually there are five big ones and the small one broke off of one of them. Can anyone name this flower?

All I can say after spending way too much money on Tampa Bay Rayscolor> tickets is CRUD, wish it was the Rays playing the Yankees!!

OK I'll root for both teams, LOL. I am the consumate fence sitter. Looks like the Yanks aren't dead yet.

I have two favorite baseball teams: The Dodgers and anyone playing the Yankees!
I do have a lot of family in Texas and I also tend to always root for the underdog. I hope they get to go to their first Series.

I am still hoping for a miracle for my Phillies. They made a comeback in last night's game against the Giants but lost it in the last inning. None of the pitchers could get it together.

If anyone's got an extra "root" in them, please send it to the Phils tonight.

That's how I feel about the Cowboys. I cheer for whoever is playing against them.

Well, we're not at the World Series, yet, but hopefully Friday we'll win it at home. The Yankees sure don't make it easy!

Way back in another century I was a football fan and a Cowboys fan. I haven't followed either much in a long time. So, even though I live near Dallas, I'm not a Cowboys fan, either. Maybe if Jones were to sell the team and fire himself, I might go back to being a fan.

But I love Nolan Ryan, and am very happy he's an owner of the Rangers now.

Dedtired, I'll root for your Phillies. I don't know anything about the NL, so I don't have an allegiance either way.

THEY DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I'd see the day that the Rangers would go to the World Series. ... Or whoop up on the Yankees. I don't know which is better. :-D
