Oh yeah, I'm so excited. I'm happy and proud and honored and just excited to be able to post these. Lori emailed me and told me she doesn't have a photobucket account any more and would I post her wedding pictures?

OMG, would I ever! She says these are "just" informal photos taken by family and friends and that she's looking at the professional proofs tonight, but I think she's absolutely gorgeous and the pictures are perfect.

Her big guys, stepsons Patrick and Brendan, walked her down the "aisle". There are pictures of all six of the "kids", plus the two older stepsons, and of course, beautiful Lori and handsome Seth.

She'll have to put names to the pictures, but this one I know:

Yep...putting a damper on the suggestion. It's almost the first of May and this guy wants to till up the grass, amend the soil plant seeds and have them grow into a lovely blooming bank of flowers....carefully graduated in size with the tallest in the back, and have a lovely, photo worthy back drop my mid August and he does not garden. No mention of sun exposure or much else. It can be done, I could do it, but I would know that there is more to it than sprinkling some seed in the ground and standing back. Let me change my remarks to say he can't do it. He better change his plans or hire someone to do a lot of work out there. Many years ago my parents always planted a strip garden about 5 feet wide...mostly with seeds. The back row was very tall marigolds, and next tall Zinnias, then snapdragons, some verbena and closest to the curbing, sweet alyssum and portulaca. But my mother spent a lot of hours out there weeding and moving plants after they had started to sprout, and deadheading so it would continue to bloom. Linda C

Thank you all for your kind thoughts! You guys know just what to say:)) and are so supportive. As far as looking calm and happy... Skip started crying in the middle of the night the week before the wedding, and he cried during the wedding while he was walking downt he aisle and reception when he had to do his speech and do the father/daughter dance. Actually the minister told Mary that it was sort of strange to see a guy who looked like he could be a pro wrestler barely able to make it down the aisle. Looks can be deceiving:) I sort of kept it together except for a small moment when she came down the aisle. I was actually sort of crying more at the rehearsal. Her husband (wierd to write that) is such a sweetie. He sent roses to the shop while she was getting her hair done with a lovely note that gave me goose bumps. He is just like one of my own kids, and they go together like two peas in a pod. I wish I had a close-up of her dress, it had sparkley scrolling around the bodice, more sparkley trim around the top and hem,and a beautiful brooch sort of thing at the top of the bustle. It was just such a fast paced day, that I couldn't get all the shots I wanted. She loves Gerbera daisies, and didn't want anything too fussy. The florist suggested that they go in contrasting colors so it would show up in the black and white photos. As far as the cake tree, there were 10 cakes, each with a different design. Some chocolate, some white, some marble. They tasted really good. The little favors on the table were cut out wedding cakes. His mom baked them, and we all went over to decorate them the week before the wedding. They were all different because so many people were doing them. We used plastic silverware we had little bells to jingle instead of tapping on glasses. They have a fence along the driveway, and I took the bows from church and put them on the fenceposts. Don't have a picture of it though. Thanks again! I am going to take the pictures down after today, because it kind of gives me the creeps to know that 600 people have looked at them.... Drema

hi i havent posted on here in forever but you really should get your photos in acid free scrapbooks and there will be loads of space to journal about your photos also should be be done with acid free ink. Check out www.gracefulbee.com for some ideas or feel free to email me with any questions i have done 30 acid free albums in the past 6 years and i just finished my wedding album ( i just got married in oct).

I hate to ask this, but would anyone be able to remove that fern Posted by kat__wa (My Page) on Wed, Nov 24, 10 at 11:39 from my face in that picture from the wedding? I could email you the photo, as I would like to get a print made. Not only did I get a pic with DH and me together, he was actually smiling! hahahaa, well for HIM it was a smile. LOL The picture will print better from the full file, rather than capturing it from this website, right? thank you so much! just need to remove a little from the chin, I don't care about it in front of my fat neck at all! lol If it's not possible, no big deal! I will get it printed anyway! lol

Thank you, everybody :) Thank you, Annie, for posting.

We were married on September 4 in a 300 year old barn. It was such a unique setting, but we wanted to say "simple." We wanted the kids to know that we didn't need a big fancy place to express our love. After all we had all been through, that's what it was about - love. It was very romantic.

Everybody gathered in the barn, and Seth walked in and separated the crowd, making an aisle. There were about 100 people there (much, much bigger than we originally planned), and we had about 30 chairs. The rest stood. The kids walked in two at a time, one of mine with one of his, arm in arm. After all six had gone in, My stepsons escorted me in. It was something that I really wanted, but I was worried they would be upset about "giving me away." They were both very happy to do it, honored they said. I was honored. Such good men. Bob's brother was there, and his sister flew in from Delaware to be there. Totally amazing they would do that for me. What good, good people.

So, in the picture with the six kids, it's Brian, Connor, then Seth's oldest daughter, then Mackenzie, followed by his two youngest. In the picture with the 8 kids, Brendan is on the left; Patrick on the right. You can see a bit of Brendan's scar if you look at his hairline. It encircles the entire right side of his head.

I think Bob's entire family was genuinely happy for me. It made the day that much more special.

So now we're home, back to reality. We are building a house that will be ready in about a month, so we're living separately during the school week so neither one of us has to move twice. It's chaotic living in two different places. It's not easy. Five kids will be living under the roof, with Brian already off to college. The kids go to four different schools and mornings are insane! I go back to work on Monday, so it will only be worse. lol

We are going to try to coordinate it so we all move in at the same time, so we don't give the impression it's "my house" more than "their" house, with either family. Seth has sold his home already and is renting it off the buyers (a friend). Mine isn't even on the market yet. I'm a little nervous with the way things have crashed around here. It will be hard to move. This is where all my kids grew up. I've been out of work this week starting to pack/organize and it's overwhelming. I finally went into Bob's closet and that was tough. It will get done soon, though. It has to!

I am looking forward to making our new house a home.

So that's the update and the details of the wedding. Happiness is good! :)

I cried at the pictures. You were a gorgeous bride, and everybody looks so happy for you. You are an inspiration, and I bet everybody on this forum feels like they were a part of all this. AND...the groom is very, very handsome. Congratulations Lori, you deserve this happiness.

Sniff, sniff it's so touching-- the love you share with Patrick and Brendan, Bob's siblings and now including Seth and family in your circle too. You're one special lady and it says so much about you that you have their support.

The photos are glorious and you have a beautiful, blended family to share.

As you know I have very strong feelings of affection for you... friendly type feeling that is. I miss our e-mail swaps! Feel free to drop me a chat mail anytime. I'm delighted to see you found someone special... he looks like a great guy. I regretted that we live so far apart as I would have loved to have met you when you were single.

Hope life brings you and your family the comfort and security you all deserve. I was in particular touched that Bob's family still considers you one of them!... good family is forever.
