Creepy problem.

I need to sell my old Volvo which has been sitting undriven for months in my driveway. The battery is dead. Today a friend came by with a charger. We popped the hood to find that black widows with many egg sacks have taken over the engine compartment. I tried spraying with spider spray but the one big mama I saw ran. Don't know if she was hit or not.

Any ideas how to deal with this? Can I ran a water hose on the engine parts and try to wash the eggs and spiders away? I'm sure there are more under the car. There are webs everywhere. Should I cave in and call an exterminator? Spiders completely freak me out. Black widows put me over the edge even more.
