In need of an 'atta girl!'

That pleased as punch look on my face is because I just unplugged my computer/modem/every d#@%* plug in the place to get my internet connection back up and running - all by myself! I've been webless since Tuesday when an electrical storm crashed my Ethernet card/chip. After hours of phone calls to Road Runner and Apple, it was decided that I had to take my Mac Mini to the Apple store in Greensboro so they could check out the Ethernet thing. Now I've got a new modem and a new USB Ethernet Adaptor and I'm in bidness!

Sorry to hear Chammi's having a tough time recuperating. Red Bank is excellent. My sister has used Red Bank for chemo for her late pug and was very pleased with them. We usually use Garden State Veterinary in Tinton Falls- our vet has a good working relationship with them. Spencer the chocolate lab and Katie the shepherd mutt are sending doggy tail wags for luck - and we've all got our fingers and toes crossed- lots of energy flowing here for Chammi. Helene (always glad to find more than one - we Helenes know how hard it is to get our name pronounced correctly- but that's material for another thread!)

since she's under 2, I don't think you have to worry about a desk yet. I'd have fun and redo the walls and bring in accessories. Doing the wall by her bed, and/or the opposing wall would be nice. here are some ideas: paint the walls a soft blush/mauve (or whatever color you like), get some flower decals, shelving, little chairs board and batten? some peel and stick wallpaper? a cute swinging chair? some fairy lights? I think this one is pretty. one wall w/the paper, and the other walls coordinating color. bring in some fun play objects like the tent w/the furry rug, little lights, stuffed animals. for that bare wall, I think you could set up a doll house, or toy kitchen, tea set, whatever she likes. maybe a reading area? display the books.

Just being able to call my son and tell him that "I did it" was priceless! He is my computer tech support/repairman/fix it guy but he lives further away now and can't always come over in an emergency.
