Yes, that does sound like Vestibular. It is terrible to witness, but at least it's temporary and not serious.

Hopefully she'll be back to her old self very soon!

Poor Chabby - it must be so upsetting for her. We had a cat with Vestibular, Linda. Barely moving & a cocked head are two signs of it. The medicine helped get her through the worst but she had that cocked head a long time.

My thoughts are with you both.

What medicine!! They told us there was nothing.What do you know?
What worries me is she doesn't have the cocked head....just droopy, staggers and stumbles when she walks. Yes barely moving... Eating when offered....but not drinking, so I diluted some home mead chicken broth....and will do that again.

Checking in ...don't have anything to offer but prayers and thoughts for both of you! I'm feeling down about poor Chabby. I sure hopes that she feels better soon.

Well....she's sure not lacking for appetite. I was just pattying up some burgers to freeze....and she got up and came to me and was staring....I gave hr about an ounce or raw 90% lean beef...she lapped it up...so I put her pills in the next ounce and diluted some chicken broth....so she would get water and she drank that....then licked the dishes again.
Would be wonderful it we were turning a corner.
But then she flopped again and is resting but her eyes are open.
Still accepting good wishes though!!

I haven't been online much for the past week, but wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and Chabby. It can be a helpless feeling when you just don't quite know what's going on with our furbabies. Best wishes to both of you!

Prayers and healing thoughts for Chabby.

That was Friday, how about today?

Worse still....no diagnosis....just took her to the vet for a shot of morphine. Hope to break the pain cycle. Putting her down is a serious consideration, but my son and the vet say wait out the weekend and then do some diagnostics.
There are 2 vets....one proactive....the other shoots from the hip. We nowa re seeing the proactive one!

had nothing to eat all day but a mini bagel...my son is here and feeding me scotch and cheese and crackers....to be followed by a chop on the grill.

Hi Linda, I hope Chabby is feeling better this morning.

If she is in pain, I no longer think vestibular is the culprit. Vestibular is basically vertigo according to my vet.

Whatever it is, Linda, I hope she snaps out of it very soon. I can imagine what a basket case you must be!
