We celebrated our 25 anniversary back in April....yea, I still like him LOL!!

The whole gang....cannot wait to go back to the beach!!

Lots of healthy, gluten free and vegan options.
My choice was Thai Veggie Spring Rolls with a peanut dipping sauce.
The kids got wraps.

After we arrivefd and unpacked it was off to Carneys for some grub. I had the shrimp scampi flatbread....lots of garlic!
Delish!
Matt had some cheesesteak eggrolls, Amy had lobster grilled cheese and Morgan had spicy steamers.
Matts not a seafood guy but hid did "try" some new things this week!

On Sunday evening, Frank and I tried Lucky Bones. A great newer restaurant in Cape May.
Real fun place!
I had the cuban pulled pork sandwich....Frank had a muffelatta panini.

Frank met up with an old grade school friend a few days later and went back to lucky bones!

On Monday Morning, Frank and I got up early to rent bikes. We traveled by bike from one end of the island to the other and just about every street in between! I have been wirking out since March so incorporating exercise into my day has become routine.
On this day we stopped at Geckos Cafe a cool little place with a great outdoor terrace and a sweet island vibe.
Both Frank and I had the roasted tomato and chorizo soup.

Yummo!

My lunch entree at Geckos Cafe was spicy black bean cakes with tomato cream. Very tasty and only mildly spicy!
Frank had the quinoa and shrimp salad.

Wow, Susie, what a great vacation. I have not been to Cape May for years but I have to go for a visit now. I've always wanted to ride on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry. How long does it take and is the water choppy? (seasick issues here). Did you walk around in Lewes?

I'll try some of your restaurant recs when I go. Can you still collect Cape May diamonds? I'd like to go to the bird sanctuary.

Hi Pam....Ive been down for day trips but this was the first real trip in awhile.
The Ferry ride was very smooth....we had a good day but Ive been on it in choppy waters which made the ride very wobbly.
Its a little over an hour and we just drove to Rehobeth for shopping.
We will do Lewes next time!

There are SO many places to eat its hard to choose lol!
I dont think theres a bad one in the bunch!
Ill post more pics soon!

Summer brews on the beach!

The young ones and I took a whale and dolphin watching charter. We saw lots of atlantic bottle nose dolphins but no whales were spotted lol!

While in Cape May its required to have pink and purple bagels!

One of our favorite restaurants in Cape May in Vincenzos in Lower Township, about 10 min from down towm CM.

So we had our Family Dinner there!

I had the broiled seafood in garlic butter...so good!
Everyone got their own favorites!

You cannot go to Cape May without going to this funky little joint on bayside called Harpoon Henrys.
An island vibe i opted for the grilled shrimp over coconut otice with a chipotle drizzle.
So good with a few coronas!

On our last night in Cape May, Frank and I had our date night at the lovely Harbour Veiw Restaurant.
We shared an order of fried tomatoes with a balsamic sauce....what a delightful tower of summer goodness!!

On date night my entree was baked haddock with a creole mustard glaze studded with baby shrimp, spanish style shrimp and broccoli.
Frank had steak and baked potato and he loved it....he was a happy hubby!

How special that everyone had a great time, enjoyed each other's company and discovered new & delicious places to dine! Here's to many more family vacations!
