Awww, Susie. that's too bad. I have rolled my ankle several times, and fractured it once (mega-klutz, here. too). It hurts so much! I literally saw stars from the pain.

Your boss sounds like a jerk. Yes, keep that foot elevated and pop lots of pain-killers and ice cream! Hope Snooki and The Situation take your mind off of it.

Susie, if I were you, I'd be screaming about Worker's Comp, since you hurt yourself at work. The boss isn't just a jerk, he's clueless, anything that might cause more severe injury or could exacerabate the injury, opens the company up to liability. Sheesh, most employers won't even let their employees come back without documentation that they are fit for work!

So, although I also don't know what Snookie and Situation are, enjoy them, along with a pint of the flavor of your choice. Ice cream, of course, not the other pint, LOL.

We watched Jersey Shore for the very first time last night. WOW! We loved it! Sorta like watching a car wreck, you know you should drive on by, but you can't help but look. Jim thinks it should be on HBO so there aren't so many beeps. ;-o

Annie and Linda are right. Your employer risks a fine law suit if they make you return before being given permission. Just give the Doctor's office a quick call to double-check.

I guess I am a lightweight since I didn't stay awake to see what Snookie was up to!! (On a personal note-I am not a fan of the jersey shore...none of them are actually from NJ I just thought it would be good mindless tv to take my mind off my aches and pains LOL)

So I had an appt at Concentra today - the workmans comp clinic my company uses. To my delight they have offices here in south Jersey so I do not have to schlepp over to Philly. Before I start PT the Doctor wants to see me.
So this guy pokes and prods and says yep-bad sprain. He orders an MRI and asks me if I drove there...I said yes. He then said he was writing me out on full disability because appaerently its illegal to drive in NJ using both feet unless I have a modified license...I was using my left foot to break since I can not turn my right foot.

SO...long story short I am out until next week when this doc will re-evaluate my sprain.

You all know I do not fair well sitting around all day so this is gonna be torture LOL!!
Amy is up in north Jersey at her boyfriends house---Andrew is in North Carolina with a neighbor visiting his family and Frank is working both jobs. YIKES!!!
I don't even have a dog to pal around with.

Maybe I'll call up younger brother Chris and see is he wants to spend a few days here to keep me company.

Keep your spirits up. Pain pills ain't all that fun... if they don't work ask for something different. I know cold is good for a sprain so certainly loads of ice cream must be a good thing... ; )

You gys are the best....I do feel a little better today. I am allowed to bear weight with the crutches and thats been ok but if I do it too much then the pain starts in.

Frankie took me to AC yesterday...yes it was the AC food and wine shindig but we did not have tix for any of the events....BUMMER!!! I could not walk all that well on the crutches so I basically sat and "people watched".
I saw a lot of camera folks taking video....prob from the food network getting exteriors shots however I saw no food celebs.
A little birdie told me that Guy Fieri and his whole family were staying and "taping" DDD at Cape May...I hope he was Taping and Jackson Mountain Cafe but my bet would be he would go for "the Ugly Mug" instead.
There are a lot of good places to eat in Cape May but none that I would consider a "dive" LOL!!

Today Drew comes home!! WOOT WOOT!!!
His last text said they were in Fredricksburg Va having lunch so he's not all that far!! I expect him by suppertime!! I missed him so much!!
He has NO IDEA I was injured-didn't want my news to spoil his trip.

So I've been on line looking at dogs...actually puppies.
I have always loved the look and personality of sheppards. Specifically the Aussie...more spacific the toy or mini Aussie.
And there is a small litter at a breeder in my county....but they do not have the blue eyes. Not all Aussies have blue eyes but thats a look both Frank and I would want.

Believe me I am in no rush at all...I know there is a dog or 2 out there for us and we can wait for the right situation.

I have PT tomorrow so perhaps we will stop by to see these babies....who know maybe there will be a connection.
