We are going to have another grandbaby!

Just got a call from DD#2. She is pregnant again & due January 24, 2013!!!

DD#1 and DD#2 both had babies fall 2010 (they delivered one month apart). One boy and one girl grandbabies! With their births, we have six grands.

Now, #7 is on the way...

DD#2 is feeling a bit under the weather & struggling with the heat. She missed a day of work this week with really ugly nausea. Hopefully, she'll be feeling much better in another month.

Wow, 7 grandchildren. Hmmm, wondering if DD#1 & DD#2 are feeling competitive?? :)

Thanks everyone! It's interesting that a random group of women chatting about gardening just happen to have the most beautiful and brilliant children and grandchildren in the world ;) We're pretty lucky, I'd say! I especially love to see Jim and Phil holding him. They both act like tough guys, then melt as soon as they touch him. It'll be 18 years and a couple of months before he can do his first tandem. Now, Cindy! Don't blame Chelone-the thought has already crossed my mind. Time will tell, I commit to nothing :D Gosh, Marian, I can't even compare the two. Skydiving is a full-on lose your mind thrill that lasts a few minutes. Jude's arrival is an awe-filled wonder that hasn't worn off yet, and I don't imagine it will. No choice at all if I had to pick one, but I'm glad I don't have to ;) I've been kind of hanging back this week. Daddy has a week off work, so it's nice for the little family to have some quiet time together, and for Miciah's family to be able to come visit while he's home to show off his son. Next week will probably be a different story. Chelone, I'll be sure and document in pictures the growth of his hair and fingernails, lint-balls between his toes...all the important milestones, lol!

GG We had frost on the ground this morning...just a light one. I moved some of the seedlings back onto the porch so I hope they are ok and I postioned things around a new salvia that I had planted the other day that was just starting to flower yesterday. I think we are going to have a frost advisory for tonight (Sunday night) also so i will try to keep things sheltered a bit today. Then MAYBE after tonight we will be in the clear. Gosh, this must have been very sudden since you had just decided to go ahead and change your screen name to gator and then suddenly back again. Sad for you that your dreams were dashed! I think this happens a lot when love is involved because we just get so head over heels and often times the people we are involved with put on their best face until we actually move in with them and then we can see how they really are. I can see myself in what happened with you but I did get lucky and found a really nice man. I won't lie though, at first it was challenging and we didn't always get along just simply because we didn't know each other and were suddenly thrown together 24/7. It is very eye opening to live with someone instead of just dating.

For our new build, the KD measured for cabinets before the drywall went in. She measured stud to stud and then just allowed for the 1/2 inch of drywall where necessary. Perfect fit. Of course, they didn't template for the counter until after the cabinets were installed. In a remodel It might be wise to wait for walls cause ya never know what might come up.

Congratulations!! At least the baby is not due August 24 instead of January, or the heat would be even more unbearable. Here's hoping she has a beautiful and healthy baby. When will she know whether it will be a girl or boy, or will she want to know?

That will make 2 granddaughters & 5 grandsons. I need to get a cute baby present off to Houston this week.

Gosh, we've been so excited waiting to find out if the baby was a boy or girl I didn't think nobody else was going to understand what I wrote. :)

We just found out the baby's a BOY and, you're right, due in January.

I'm turning a little pink now. I'm so old school. I'm still not used to people finding out in advance about the sex of their child. It does make planning so much easier. Congratulations, Tricia.

Whew...I was envisioning long months in the NICU....glad to know the little guy is still in the oven...so to speak!

I agree, it's so much easier when you know the sex of the baby in advance, instead of waiting for a nurse to say "congratulations, it's a boy.
