Survivor's Remorse???

Some of you were here several years ago when I had to have surgery to remove part of my colon. They found pre-cancerous cells during a routine colonoscopy. (And some of you were truly amazing at walking me thru it and easing my fears. Again, thank you)
Well a friend of mine whom I have known for over 30 years had a similar problem about a month after mine. We talked and I did my best to assure her that all would go well.
It didn't. She passed away over the weekend.
I find myself feeling...well....almost guilty. I've been in kind of a funk ever since I heard that she had passed. I keep asking myself why I came out okay and she did not. Is this normal?
Tim called it survivor's remorse and said lots of people go thru it. I've never heard of it before.
Sorry if this seems silly. I am usually more in control of my feelings.
