Hello Everyone!!! You all are simply the best group of garden friends.. I have made so many friends here and i am constantly amazed at the way you all help us all in so many ways. Not just for me, but for others as well. A close group that is willing to help out in any means they can. This also includes other things that may not include Plumeria... Mike.. Thank you!! I always want people to feel welcome just as they did for me when i first came here. Brad wanted to wait, so i had to deal with him and take care of Pep when he was not feeling good. I finally made him see that it isnt about us, it is about them.. so we finally made the decision. ANother "sweetie" I have finally realized that i did make the right decision.. my DH kind of made it difficult because he wanted to keep him longer than he should have. I had to convince him that Pep wasnt happy when he couldnt do anything for himself anymore. What kind of masters woud let him live like that? aNot me.. i loved him to much to see him suffer like that. Hard choice, but the right one.. Thank you!! Linda, I am really glad you didn't rush out and get another dog immediately. A lot of times people do that when they lose a pet, and sometimes in their grief, they don't make the best decisions. My co-worker's boyfriend just lost his 15 year old poodle a week ago... the next day he came home with TWO poodles that cost 1000 dollars each! He was drinking again, and threatening to hurt himself, apparently the old dog was is only reason for living. What you wrote describes the way I see it perfectly.... you can't replace the old friend, nor should you try, but you still want the companionship. I can't wait to see the thread that includes pictures and the story about the new, very lucky friend you've adopted when the time is right. Continued hugs...

Huge hugs for you and your DH Moonie! I lost my heart dog October 16th. The day we planned Madison's 7th birthday party. All the GB's were here and family. I cried and cried and had to pull it together for the little ones so they could have their party. I don't know if I could have done it enough to go to a job interview. My hat is off to you. I know it hurts so terribly bad! I still think of our little girlie girl Miss. I tear up often. It isn't all day long anymore. I will never,ever forget her as I know you won't with Quincy. I remember you posting pictures of him way back when you first got him. He looked like such a total love. It doesn't take long for them to wrap those little paws around your heart. My DSis had a Doberman that had terrible seizures also, he was young when she had to put him down also I am thinking around Quincy's age. I know you are heartbroken, please know I'm keeping you close in thought. (((Moonie and DH)))

You took the words right out of my mouth, Nina! Milo (who we have nicknamed Fuzz) has filled my heart with such happiness, though I still grieve my sweet Sophie. <3 I'm so glad your Olivia found one when she did. :) That picture is the most adorable thing! Update on Fuzz AKA Milo. He has been to the vet and had his first set of shots and I got his deworming medicine, which he already finished. He left with a clean bill of health. :) We are socializing him with family member's and friend's pets at home and he has done very well. :) Sadly, we have no puppy classes where I live (I live in the Appalachian mountains where our closest Walmart is even 35 minutes away). The only classes we have are pet co and it's just for training. So we are sticking with family and friend's dogs who we know are vaccinated and healthy, until he finishes his round of shots. I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you. You are all so kind and your words all mean so much. I truly love this community!
