Good heavens!!!! That is beyond horrible! Wasn't there anyone who would come to her aid???

Good heavens that is so gruesome. I suppose anyone going to her aid would have ended up a victim, too, although a crowd may have been able to subdue him. Hard to know unless you're in that situation.

Horrible things happen everywhere, every day, sad to say.

How awful. Reminds me of a similar situation that took place in Canada a few years ago.

Oh man! I've been wondering about Sharon. She hasn't posted for what seems like a long time. I sure hope all is cool and okay with her and Wolf. Both of those reports/links have me speechless.

She and Wolf are fine. I "see" her on Facebook. She posted as recently as yesterday. Hard to keep up with all this social networking.

Karen, that is a shocking attack. My heart goes out to this woman and her family. And Ann, the bus attack you linked is unbelievably gruesome.

I had sent an email to Sharon a few days ago and just got a reply this morning. She is fine, Wolf is doing well but still bedridden. I told her we miss her.

Thank you all for your concern and kind words. Yes Wolf is confined to bed but he is otherwise alert, eating well and his condition is currently stable... (yes I am still cooking but on a smaller scale.)

Sorry I haven't been here for a while as I have so much to do now as a full time carer that I just get to catch up and post news on FB because that's where I'm also in contact with grandkids and other family members.

The terrible incident occurred in the south of the island and the man in question was a mental patient from Bulgaria who had been released from a British hospital not long before. He had been known to cause trouble here and was wanted by police for other attacks on people.

Everyone here is in shock because this is otherwise a peaceful island and the south is a very popular area for tourists and ex-pat residents. We are all so sorry to hear that such a lovely lady lost her life so tragically.

I hope to come back to CF as soon as I can get myself into a better daily routine. I do still try to read the new posts most days.

I did not know Wolf is bedridden. I hope he's back on his feet soon.

I volunteer in the library once a week and there is a fellow who comes in named Wolf. I think of Sharon and Wolf every time I check out his books!
