Besides wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants in summertime, not using deodorants, not applying sunscreen, and NEVER growing flowers in your gardens to avoid being stung by bees, gardeners should... Wear protective goggles. Wear hightop boots and socks. Duct tape your pantlegs and cuffs so that bees cannot get up inside your clothes. Weat a scarf AND a hat and gloves so that no skin is exposed. Don't grow grass. Don't put up birdbaths and don't keep water in your fishpond as bees are attracted to the water. Don't have windows on your house or apartment. - If this cannot be avoided, NEVER open them. Never go outside. - If this cannot be avoided, have your property sprayed with deadly insect spray twice a month. Keep away from sweaty men, ten year old boys and all dogs. i dryed up the wood and I guess I shouldn't of becuase he wont do anything now. Which brings me to my next question Isn't that a Risk of mold? It's a risk of mold IF it stays damp for a while. If the leak isn't happening, and the area stays dry, there's no risk of mold. If the leak happens again, call him back (and leave the puddle on the floor). **you might post over at the Plumbing forum (see "Other Forums" link at the top of the main page) and see if anyone can suggest any sort of tape or something you could wrap around the outside that would stop the leak. the BIGGEST issue w/ the leak is that it will damage the cabinet--and has already. You don't want them to be on your case bcs you didn't get it fixed before damage occurred (seems to me thats a tenant's responsibility, to alert management when repairs are needed so management can maintain the value of their property). I might call again, and say, "look, I found damp spots again, and obviously there is a leak ,because of damage. I don't want YOUR STUFF to get further ruined; don't you want to fix it? If you wont' come and just tighten or redo all the connections under the sink, then I want you to sign a waiver that says I'm not responsible for any water damage under the sink." Rusty radiators won't hurt you; I've never read anything about dangers of inhaling iron--I don't think it creates fumes anyway--feel free to use them. If they look bad, ask management to come and scrape and paint them. As for the carpet, sure you can ask. But if your rent is lower than in the other units, they may tell you that new carpet will cost you a higher rent. I would just ask them--point out that you're paying the market rate, and your carpets are disgusting; their agent acknowledged this at the beginning (though you accepted those carpets as is, and they may say, that's the contract) But I don't think any of those things are particular health hazards. Maybe your best bet is to start looking at other apartments. See what you can get elsewhere for the same money you are spending now. If it's better (even if it's just in better condition), that gives you a bargaining tool. You can either just move when your lease is up, or threaten to do so as a tool to get them to make your place look nice. They'd have to change that carpet for a new tenant anyway, plus they might have some down-time between tenants.

I can almost guarantee it's an issue related to the heart or the blood circulation in a specific area. I saw another post on here from someone that said it could be related to blood circulation or issues with the heart or chest, and that their dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, which, my dog has these heated spots as well and also recently got diagnosed with congestive heart failure and fluid retention in the lungs and abdomen. The heat is extremely hot to the touch, like, really really hot at the base of my dogs shoulder blades and migrates down his left side and then around his rump. He does have a weight issue, which is related to the congestive heart failure, and an enlarged heart, and this heating only happens when he's resting, which to me would hint at it being related to blood circulation because his heart has to work harder then he's resting. My advice to anyone that's worrying about this overly heated area: get some x-rays done. Mind everyone else - if it's a warm area where: your dog is itching (or chewing) on their fur relentlessly, is starting to get a wet, balding, or raw look due to scratching their fur out, and may possibly even be causing itself to bleed due to the amount of itching.... Then you have a hot spot. It can be due to skin conditions, fleas, allergies, or even just bad habits or anxiety. You can shave the fur around the spot if it's starting to look raw or wet-like, keep the area clean, and you can also put a shirt on the dog (if they're getting to it by scratching) or a cone on their head (if by chewing) to keep them away from it until you can get them to the vet to treat it. Very interesting thread! I have relatively thick, straighter than straight hair. On one half of my head that is. The other side likes to do a little flip thing just to annoy me. And to make matters worse I have a huge ridiculous cawlick that runs down the back of my scalp and when my hair goes flat, the cawlick parts like the Red Sea. I find that the more conditioners that are in shampoo's the flatter my hair is. If I use conditioner after I shampoo my hair is horribly limp. THEN it gets all dry and brittle and even more flat. THEN I buy more expensive shampoo's and conditioners to try to fix it only get battered hair. So, I stopped with the expensive shampoo's and started using dish detergent - not all the time but at least once a week. Then apply a little conditioner and my hair is great. When I shampoo with regular shampoo, I will use a vinegar rinse and NO conditioner at all. The dish detergent (usually Sunlight) gets out all the hair products and conditioners that weigh the hair down. My hair has never been healthier-looking (for dead cells lol) and I colour my hair - myself. Hair salon dyes have too much conditioner. I don't use shampoo for colour treated hair just ol Sunlight and regular conditioner and my colour doesn't fade. My hair stylist are always commenting on what good shape my hair is in and when I tell them what I use - they stop with the sales pitches on their products. LOL I've recently started using Sunsilk Anti-flat shampoo and conditioner and I like it. It is weightless and very mild and my hair does seem to be fluffier longer when I use it. deb ab, I've often wondered about those got2be products. I need something that won't flatten. I use the worse products - Final Net hair spray. My hair is short and spikey (perfect style for straight hair) but I have a hard time finding products that will make the spikes last longer and not flatten. I envy people with curly hair! I have a hard time getting a good hair cut and am always looking for someone who specializes in straight hair. One little slip up when cutting straight hair and it is so noticeably. That's why I got the spikes - so you can't notice if it is slightly off kilter. Who knew I'd have so much to say about hair? lol BJ
