Nope, if you don't ask, you don't get! Well, some people seem to have everything land in their lap, but not me. I like that photo very much. Looks like the vase to the right of the puppy is about to become shards, too.

I'm excited. Just purchased the picture in a lambda print, signed, limited edition of 6! He responded overnight. What serendipity.

I'm having trouble with my picture. :(

The photographer is living in Australia and his work is sold at European galleries. Somehow, I managed to find his home email and that's where I contacted him.

We've had fun back/forth email chats about our shared love of early German stoneware even exchanging stoneware pictures. Needless to say, my pictures are an embarrassment compared to his. :(

He gave me his bank info stuff and home address. I'm supposed to wire the money to him. Should be easy. It isn't. My hick local bank does not know how to do international wires. Showing their ignorance, they are insisting on a routing number and only the US uses those. DH is over at the bank now trying again. If they still can't figure it out he's going to cart cash over to a multi-national bank and try again. Of course, since we don't have accounts at that multi-national they will charge us an arm/leg for the international wire transfer. I'm running out of time. The picture has been sent to the photographer's lab and will be ready for shipment on Tuesday (Monday night here). :(

Can't believe I may not get my picture because my little bank can't figure out how to transfer funds. Remember when life used to be easy!

What an ordeal this endeavor has been but finally the photo is hung and I love it! My framer runs for cover when he sees me but, IMO, he should be thanking me because now he knows how to do something new. :) This photo was a first-class b*t*h to frame 'cause of the lambda print. It's taken two months just to get it framed but it's the perfect backdrop for our collection of Bellarmine jugs. I'm so glad I didn't just blow it off when I first saw the photo.
