Hi. I'm not sure how this will work, but it sounds fun and interesting. Do we post one per day? One per person per day? Or just let 'em roll and see what we get?

I often wish that I practiced it more, as I tend to let life carry me along at times, rather than be in control. In some ways it is odd that I am inspired by a quote from a five-star general. I once took an interest inventory test and military came out dead last, and I think that is pretty accurate. However, I've read other quotes from Bradley and they ring true for me. Wise man. Guess you don't get to be a five-star general for nothing.

You echoed my thoughts this morning as I was thinking about what I'm writing today in my memoirs.... about an evening spent in a small Spanish village in the mountains of Mallorca where the moon was bright and I saw moonflowers for the first time....a whole wall covered with them, they were open and reflecting the bright moonlight. It was almost surreal, and definitely a sight to evoke music. I was given a couple of moonflower seeds to take home. They were very hard and needed a long soaking before planting.
What a coincidence!

The both of us thinking about moonflowers is a nice coincidence!

I can just imagine how lovely those moonflowers must have looked and smelled. I grow them on a chainlink fence along with English Ivy, clematis and climbing roses. I usually buy small plants as I have not had any luck with the seeds as yet. I really love coming home from work and as it's getting dark going out to see the new blooms as they open.

I can't recall who said this, but I couldn't agree more:

It so irks me when I see fellow travellers in sloppy shorts, worn out singlets and flip flops. Even more so in nice restaurants. There's a debate going at the moment because a Darwin restaurateur has decided to charge customers wearing flip flops extra.
