What do lizards eat?
That's what would worry me....he's coming in to look for bugs!! Why do they think there are bugs in your house?
And another thought....do they have a water source in the garden? maybe a saucer of water would make them happier outside.

He is kinda cute though! Maybe be came inside because he heard what a good cook you are from his friends! Glad you got him out safely. I can only imagine how startled you were!

I'm OK with lizards, snakes, and frogs but spiders are another story all together. I usually get the vacuum hose out with 9 extension wands and stand in the next room to suck the little bugger into oblivion. Preferably I use an old vacuum that sends everything through the fan first!

I would jump too but only because I was not expecting him/her to be there. He is cute. Maybe he was toy for the kitties?

And remember, I have never seen a headline "Mouse kills human". I think the same goes for little lizards. Glad you sent him home to his family.

I dont' like spiders and snakes not sure about lizards in the sink. LOL I'm sure I would have been more than surprised finding that in my sink or house. Glad to know he is back out in the garden enjoying life.

Looks like the dudes in my garden. It's funny because the brown ones (invaders) live on the ground and in lower areas. The native green geckos live in my raised daylily beds and I treasure them!

Do you think it's the same one?
Maybe you should start banding them like they do with birds for ID purposes!

Well we always have a gecko or two up near the tops of walls and they live on small insects but these lizards have never come into the house before, and I don't think Bibi has been bringing in these big fellows.

I'm not really afraid of them and can pick up the smaller ones and put them back in the garden if I find the cat has brought one in.

This is still the time when the lizards are in hibernation so they don't eat until they wake up around March, so says the gardener. But I'm mystified how this big one crawled up from the floor and reached the sink, as they don't have suction cups on their feet as do geckos.

We have water bowls and bird baths on the patio and in the garden for cats and birds so there's plenty for lizards to drink.
Perhaps it's the same one who just keeps coming back because he likes the toast crumbs on my kitchen floor lol.

My girls had lizards for pets, first chameleons and then iguanas, so a lizard wouldn't bother me at all, I'd take it out and let it go too. Right after I jumped because I sure wouldn't expect one in my kitchen sink!

well, we share our house with a pet snake and a leopard gecko, but I still would have TOTALLY freaked out if I found him in my sink! Yikes!

I have no problems with snakes or lizards but would be surprised to find either in my sink! Spiders, on the other hand, send me screaming into another room. My kids always know when I've encountered one. Alice kindly dispatches them for me. All while rolling her eyes, of course. Daniel caught my phobia, alas.

I had to have Alice tape a large piece of paper around the can of spider spray. Every time I glanced in the cupboard and saw the enormous drawing of a spider on the label I would freak.

Wow, if I were you and found that in the sink I might have moved back to Canada. Yike. My cat used to bring in chipmunks, mostly dead but occasionally not.

Spiders don't bother me (okay the huge ones do) but I really can't stand moths.

Lizards don't bother me, and I think they are cute. I have a lizard carving (from Indonesia) in my kitchen, but no real lizards. I had chameleons in Austin that would sit on the ferns in my yard and lick water off the fronds after I had watered them. Occasionally, one would get into the house, but then the exhaust from my stove consisted of a hole in the wall which was in front of where my ferns were.

At my parents house, I once opened the silverware drawer to find a HUGE cottonmouth snake that had crawled up along the kitchen sink pipes. I was about 12 at the time and had never been so scared in my life. I tried to scream, but no sound would come out. My father had to take it outside and kill it. He normally didn't kill snakes because he thought they ate mice and rats, but they also stole chicken eggs. Plus a cottonmouth is very poisonous.

I'm fine with spiders, except for black widows. Tarantulas make me nervous also, especially when they migrate in huge hoards. When I was about 8, I was surrounded by a huge hoard of them on my grandfather's ranch. Unfortunately, I was barefoot at the time and was trying to pick my way through a sticker patch, and so running away from them was not an option. Also, they are very good jumpers.
