Happy New Year!

And I do mean happy!

Popping in and wishing everybody a safe, healthy, and happy new year.

Last night was a very big step in my new life. Seth came over to ring in the new year and all six kids were finally together at once. Everybody is getting along very well (my teen son and his teen daughter maybe too well!) and I am SO looking forward to happy times...not just in 2010. ;)

I still miss Bob, of course, and he still misses his late wife, but we are thrilled to begin a new stage in our lives and whatever it brings.

I am so blessed and wanted to share it with my cooking friends. I wish you all the same happiness I have in my life!!! :D

Sounds like a wonderful start to the new year for you, too. I can't tell you how nice it is to hear good news.

Michelle, I received my seeds today !! What a wonderful treat it is to find such an awesome collection of seeds waiting for me in the mailbox after a long day at work ... Hi all! I'm new to the forums but I have an idea why this one doesn't get much response. It's not listed in any of the categories, it's only listed sort of alphabetically in the s's as The Single Life, it took me several visits to find it and I still have trouble remembering where it is on the list to click so I can lurk! Maybe someone should suggest to Spike? that it be made more visible, I know that there are a lot of singles on the forums. Just thought I'd pop in and say something and maybe someone else has had the same experience. My New Year's Resolution is to be proud of being single and not be so quiet. Happy New Year! Charlotte

Get back to sewing for sure! Last year was not a good year for so many reasons, but this will be better. I worked on cleaning up my sewing room because DH is having a birthday party for me on Saturday and we need the room for the kiddos coming to watch a movie in. On Sunday, it is full speed ahead putting it back to sewing and get going! I have a dinosaur quilt top finished and sandwiched and started the quilting - baby is due on the 7th, so it will be late. I have a Japanese fan quilt top ready to sandwich and quilt - it's a commissioned quilt so need to get it finished! I need to make another baby quilt for friend's granddaughter due in March. After that - need to work on using up some of the scraps I have. (boxes and boxes of!) Looking forward to a new year with a lot less stress! Sue

Thank you, everybody, for your good wishes. It's so great to share such good news with good friends who have gone full circle with me. Can you believe it's been two years??!!

I have been lurking more here since my cooking/baking gene has started to kick back to life. Lots of new people and I'm a little confused about some posts, but I'll catch up as much as I can.
