I use the bookmark tool bar that is part of firefox. At the top you have the 3 bars above where your tabs are, the one with file, view etc, then you have the middle one and then the bottom one that bottom one is the bookmarks toolbar and you can create a folder there on that bar and store your daily used bookmarks in there, I have mine set up with several folders like forums, mail, music etc and in each folder I have my associated sites, if you just have a few sites you want to use then you can do that with out making folders, When you are at a site you want to use, use your cursor on the address bar and grab the little icon of that web address that is at the right end and drag it onto the bookmarks toolbar, then it will become a link you can click on. to create the folders on that bar just right click on the bookmarks toolbar and choose new folder, then you can change the name to what ever you want. To put a site into that folder go to the website then right click on that folder and choose add bookmark here. If you put individual sites on your bar and want to change the name or shorten it just right click on it and choose properties and there you can change that. Here you can see how mine looks click on that a couple times to get full size. Now I only have 2 bars then my tabs I did away with my middle bar so, and moved some of the stuff that used to be on the middle bar up to my top bar, so I have that and then below that I have the bookmarks bar with my folders and fave sites there. see if that would help you out

June once you click the bookmarks and get the drop down simply click "Show all bookmarks" at the bottom. This brings a new window where you can drag those unsorted favs into the "Bookmarks menu". Once they are all there you can right click on the Bookmarks menu and click to sort by name thereby bringing them all back to the one click you want. I do like the bookmarks toolbar for my most often used links and it is only about a quarter inch in depth. I shorten all names used on the toolbar so they are all visible, works great for me.

Although I can still get the list of bookmarks over to the left in FF, I have put all of them up on the Bookmarks Toolbar, where I have them organized under several headings, such as Books, Crafts, Financial, Media, Shopping, and so on. When I click on any of these, I get a drop-down menu, and on some of the menus, I have sub-headings; for instance, under Crafts, I have a folder called "buying," which contains sites where I buy fabrics or paint and other things online, and other folders for patterns, message boards, magazines, tips, and videos. You get the idea. When you want to create a new bookmark, the "Bookmark this page," box that comes up offers as the first location to put the new one, "Bookmarks Menu," but you can click on the quotation-like mark just to the right of that and it will change to "Bookmarks Toolbar." Then click on the "V" over to the right so you can see all the items on your Bookmarks toolbar and choose one of them to put the new one into. So that I can cram more items onto the toolbar, I make 2 or 3 letter abbreviations for their names, and I even have one heading for all the different sites that I use the most often. absolutely number one is xmarks so I never lose my favorites and can access them from any computer, plus moving to a new computer all I have to do is install xmarks on the new one and hit sync and voila all my favorites and stuff are all automatically on the new one, and as a benefit when going to a new pc you can also have it sync all your Firefox settings too! major time savings. Adblock plus with easylist man I have so many I couldn't do with out. I need to go to my pc to look at the list. Go to Google add bookmark here 2 colorful tabs colt, love it copy as html link, essential context search forecast fox make link status-4-evar statusbar date text link WOT browser protect well that's some of them on my tablets linky mobile which turns any text link into a clickable link.
