My word, I need help again.

I had to restart my computer and when it restarted, a blue screen came up with :" file Scane "D" drive. hit any key to exit. and then hit excape. I do NOT know how to stop this from happening when I restart the computer. I am running XP. PK

D drive on mamy PC's is the CD/DVD drive.
Is that so in your case?

Perhaps remove the CD/DVD that is in it.
Maybe/Possibly your virus program is set to scan removable drives. And if it has a Cd/DVD in place,, it wants to do its job.

No I did not ask it to do any kind of scan. "D" drive is an external back up that I have disconnected because it was full. I don't know how this stuff just comes up on my screen. I have used Avast and Malawarebytes today, because i did have a trogan horse show up and Malawarebytes Quarantined it. PK

Sorry about your phone! I don't understand why anyone would want to get a cell phone on a contract basis when there are good,reliable, less expensive ones without a contract.I just got rid of an AT&T that seemed to multiply in cost every month,in spite of what my so called "plan" was.I got a Virgin Mobile(no,I'm not affiliated with the company in any way).No contract,unlimited nationwide anytime calling for $49.99 a month plus tax.It ends up around $60.00 a month and for $10.00 more you can get unlimited texting.The service is great and I think pretty much nationwide. DD has Boost which is about the same price.You can order the phone of your choice online or go to RadioShack,some Wal-Mart and K mart stores.Online has more choices than most of the stores that sell them.I have had so many bad experiences with contract phones I will never get another one!

After the bath, a couple shriveled, clearly not liking it. But it's definitely satisfying to see white dots floating in the water. I left them out to dry and started to pick more stubborn bugs from some of my plants. Most of them were motionless, so I assumed the soap bath did the trick. So I left the rest alone. Nuked all the soil of new pots with boiling water, followed by a 4 minute cook off in the microwave. I set them off to dry for a few days, and I tried to pot them up last night. And guess what? The mealies SURVIVE!! Except for those that I had picked on, the rest still had tiny bugs crawling in them. You can call them eggs, larvae whatever, I got fed up. Took out my tub of rubbing Alcohol dunk half a containerful with more dish soap, and yanked everything into the concoction. Rinsed them into another tub of water, and set them off to dry again. This time I inspected every single one. Miraculously, no white stuff or survivors. I'm guessing it worked. The poor remaining plantlets all don't look good. I guess only time will tell if these all can be saved. Will continue to update... Oh, and I also found infestations on my new jades too, thankfully I caught the spread and am now containing it, or at least am trying to..

I really don't think you understand what I am talking about. I did not explain it very well as I am not sure what I am looking at. Every time you want to restart the computer, this blue screen comes up and then it says scan disc file "D".if you don't want to scan, hit any key within 3 seconds. I tried to do a "goback" and I could not even do that, as I was looking for something I had deleted. How do I stop this from happening? Regards and Thanks in advance,P.K.

Don't skip the scan. Let the scan run and correct any problems it finds. Once it finishes, it should start normally.

I have let the scan run it's course and it happens every time I restart my computer, even when the scan is finished it never exits the screen AND it says NONE of the files on D drive are readable, which is obvious since I have it disconnected. Now What, I just want to know how do I STOP this scan when I restart Regards, PK

I don't have a xp around me but I think you can go into Device manager and probably see D drive is still there. Right click and remove ---- IF you are sure it says the make/model you removed,, you surely dont want to remove your main hard drive. If it doesnt have remove option, disable it. See what happens?

Don't know 'Device Manager' Push F1 and search it in Help.
