Computer is working fine but now every time I go to the yahoo.com site where I have my stocks, the page freezes and the whole computer freezes. It doesn't happen with anything else and that site was fine yesterday. Anybody have any ideas what to do? Thanks so much. Evie

You've rebooted the computer and cleared cookies from your browser?

Un plug the router and modem for a while, then replug them in, modem first then router,

See what that does

or

If you're up to it..

Copy and paste the text between the stars into notepad
************************************************************
@Echo off
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Save as a flush.bat to your desktop. Then
Double-click flush.bat file on the desktop to run it. Your computer will reboot.

For Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click flush.bat and select "Run as Administrator"

RE: Very strange

Have you tried it from more than one browser?

RE: Very strange

Sounds like a browser problem to me too. I agree with the preceding post to try using a different one.

Yes it does and I missed the simple thing first.

Thanks everyone. I think I may have figured out the problem. I just noticed that Yahoo finance was 'upgrading' the site and they must have frozen it or something. I have no idea what, but I finally just deleted the whole site and redid it with their new, supposedly better, site. Hmmm, sure looks exactly the same! But thanks for giving me ideas.

I'm glad you got it worked out.

Thank you for coming back and reporting what fixed it.
