Very strange

Computer is working fine but now every time I go to the yahoo.com site where I have my stocks, the page freezes and the whole computer freezes. It doesn't happen with anything else and that site was fine yesterday. Anybody have any ideas what to do? Thanks so much. Evie

You've rebooted the computer and cleared cookies from your browser?

yes, I rebooted a few times because of the freezing. I also cleared everything.

CK - I have a Miele DW and wash everything in it - including my Waterford Crystal and Rosenthal China. I figure it is safer than me washing it by hand!! Now for a funny story. Many moons ago at a New Year's Eve Party, glasses started breaking while sitting on the table. The first one was near me and I was blamed for it. Later, other glasses just started to break and I kept getting blamed even though I wasn't near them - but easy to blame me as the first one appeared that I broke it... We all had a good laugh and I bought the hosts a new set of glasses (the old ones were gas station freebies from the Canadian Olympics) So, sometimes glasses do break - but I would be very nervous if I were you. When I first moved in here, there was a loud noise that woke me up several times at night. Turns out, it was the defrost cycle of my fridge, which is very loud. I guess I'm used to it now, because I hardly ever hear it anymore. I used to live in an apartment by a train track where a train went through at 3 a.m. every morning and blew the whistle. The train yard and switching station was about a half-mile down the road. I never even heard it after awhile. It used to scare other people that came to visit. They'd say "What's that noise?" and I'd say "What noise? Oh, that's the trains."

Many gardeners think that there is only one type of black spot but there are quite a few strains of it. The rose that stayed healthy had better resistance to the strain from where it was grown and got BS. The other two were prone to this strain and so re-act badly. But next year if there is a new strain of black spot in your garden, the healthy one may look poor and the other two will be healthy. Don't give up on these roses because roses can regrow three sets of leaves before it effects the vigour of the rose and starts to kill it. I have got roses from a nursery that had bad BS, dropped all their leaves and then grew healthy ones. If the BS they got from where you bought them isn't in your area, they have a good chance of being healthy when the new leaves come. Certainly next year they will give you pleasure.

Laurie, Lisa noticed it (as my back was turned) - it was the movement that caught her eye, the sheer size of it. I listened to the video again but no unusual sound as it moved from one flower to the next. Her mother-in-law had given her a huge clump of phlox and it was just sitting there, awaiting planting in front of the house. We were sitting around chatting when Lisa spotted it. Dave/Bragu, in the first photo the proboscis looks like two white lines and try as I might, I couldn't get a whole shot of it before it entered the flower. I get a kick watching the bees burrowing into a flower and then trying to get back out. It's a wonder they can fly...all covered with pollen!

Sounds like a browser problem to me too. I agree with the preceding post to try using a different one.

Thanks everyone. I think I may have figured out the problem. I just noticed that Yahoo finance was 'upgrading' the site and they must have frozen it or something. I have no idea what, but I finally just deleted the whole site and redid it with their new, supposedly better, site. Hmmm, sure looks exactly the same! But thanks for giving me ideas.
