Similarly, the people who learn to fix cars, "CORRECTLY" I might add, totally disagree with that logic for very sound reasons, not just the fact that this is how we make our living. Being a Ford does not make it any more, or less prone to requiring service, and check engine lights are simply just an extension of what a service tech has to deal with. Now from the facts that there are roughly 2000 possible faults that can trigger a check engine light on that Explorer, there could easily be more than one thing that needs addressed over the next few months, and especially the next few years. Most of the time the only thing consistent will be the lamp coming on because of the sophistication built into the system that allows it to compensate for identified problems. The long and short of the trade it in instead of keep it and service it mentality is "TENS OF THOUSANDS" dollars more spent always driving something new VS the actual cost of keeping them fifteen to twenty years, and two to three hundred thousand miles. There is money to be made by the average consumer by spending some on long term service. All you have to do is look at the first person trading in and being upside down on the equity, and then just look at how much could have been repaired for that same amount of money, IF, and I repeat IF, the car actually needed repairs! Yea Bob, reading it again, I see what you are saying. She could have been blaming the year of the car, an 02, instead of talking about an O2 sensor. But scrolling back, on my computer it does look like she hit the letter O, not 0 a number. So right away my thoughts would go to the oxygen sensor. Oh well it's hard to say sometimes, that's why when I am writing things anymore I put a / through my zero's otherwise I might not remember what I wrote :)...

If you want this to show on Windows Explorer then I assume it is something for your own benefit rather than distribution to family or friends. Not sure we have the ability to manipulate those thumbnails in explorer. However if it is the information you need attached to each photograph for later identification (Are these photos or clipart images?) then much of it is already there. Right click on a photo, click Properties, click Advanced. now you can scroll down and see the camera make and model along with it's setting used plus other information. Also you can add a title and any other facts you would like to add. This info then gets retained with the image wherever it goes. Another alternative is to create a web style page with a free slideshow program and free editor. Seems a dirty way of doing it but we have no idea of the importance of the requirements you have stated. Finally you could open each photo in your photo editing program, copy and paste each image into a new larger background, add the needed comments to the white space you would have created and save the lot that way. I would strongly suggest if you go this route that you consider creating a new folder and copy every photo you intend to modify over to this folder to work on. This way the original is still in pristine condition.

3GB is pretty adequate for general activities. I am just wondering if you are over demanding with your desired task. As a test you could disable your AV and other security applications you have running. Then try your task. If you are successful then I am correct in my thoughts. You are demanding too much of your system at the same time. Remember to enable the applications you had turned off. Back in the old days as the abilities of Win98 compatible software was increasing the systems were lagging as the cost was much higher to replace for the average user. It was not uncommon to have to shut applications down to dedicate all the available power and resources to the desired task. DA
