Open Mycomputer from the desk top choose properties tell me how much ram is installed? Then open in Mycomputer again put your mouse over Local Disk, a small window will pop up, what does it say about Disc space it should list the total hard drive size, and amount of free space left on Disc. ******You might consider getting rid of Norton it does not get along with some PCs and there a very good free Anti Virus Programs available. Just so you know removing Norton usually requires a special removal tool to get rid of it all, if this is not done left over files will be left, it's a simple process but needs to be done correctly.

grandms that link there on the avast site links to the cnet download page if you put your cursor over the download button you can see at the bottom of the screen the cnet address. I bet what is happening when you click on the big download now arrow on that cnet download page, it sends you to another page where the actual download file pops up in a pop up box my guess is you have the pop up blocked and are not seeing it, you firefox or IE should show you a bar at the top saying you need to click there to allow the box. Since you are not seeing that pop up all you are seeing is the link for the pay version. Is your download blocked? if you have that blocked then you probably will not get the one from mikies link either. another site you can try from is major geeks just click on one of the download locations Avast! That does not appear to be the situation here. msjean, I suggest you reinstall System Restore. I checked the instructions presented at a number of sites but found the best information is at the site referenced below. Bert Kinney is a Microsoft MVP and a respected expert. His instructions are clear and the most complete. (Note, in particular that there are multiple locations provided for the needed i386 folder.) It appears that the easiest method is to type or paste the command shown in the instructions at Bert's site (rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf) into the Start/Run box and pressing enter. Since you have Service Pack 3 installed, you should have either the i386 folder or the C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder mentioned in the list Bert provided. See "How to Reinstall System Restore in Windows XP" by Bert Kinney at http://bertk.mvps.org/html/reinstall.html and let us know the results. Notes: A. You should log on to the Administrator account to perform this. B. You may need to show hidden folders: 1. Click Start > My Computer. 2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 3.
