Is there a way to tell when a Windows 7 HP Laptop booted last by looking at one of the files or inquiring in a window? I mean be able to see say, a date and time?
Follow-Up Postings:

Uptime it's called, You can open the Task manager, click performance, look for uptime that will indicate how long the computer's been running since last reboot, no date included.

Go to the control panel, administrative tools, event viewer, times of start up and shut down will be in the logs there and it will show red flags for problems.
