Does the CD indicate that it will work in your OS? If it is for an older OS, and your present computer is a newer OS, it may not be compatible. What OS was the computer it came with, and what OS are you using now?

A thought, have you considered a photo application which will accomplish the same task? I use Picassa to create collages of my grandchildren which I use for Desktop background.

check the manufacturers website they may have an updated version for your current version of windows, if the one you have is an older one it likely is not compatible.

there are free online ones you can use like this one
Photovisi is a free and easy to use online photo collage maker.

Shape Collage
this one is a free version they also sell a pro version

this one by arc soft was one that did come free on a lot of computers a few years back

Perhaps you need to browse to the CD drive and open the program manually as autorun probably is disabled for security reasons.
