| I wanted to start a new thread since the subject has basically changed.
I did a lot of 'speed tests', using different speed test sites. Last night, while still on dsl, my average download speed was around 2.85 mbps. Today, with FIOS it is now averaging 5.50 to 6.00 mbps. I don't know a thing about mbps and download speeds but the numbers look a lot better! 8) I am so grateful to all of you for your help! Thank You! JM |

| MBPS----Million Bytes Per Second, download speed.. I have FIOS too, my speed is 35MBPS, you should be running close to that too. I could also call them and increase the speed if I wanted, of course for additional charge. If you installed Verizon FIOS, and your speed is only 5.50 to 6.00 mbps. Then I would think something is wrong. |

| 6mbps depending on how measured and reported could also equal 6 mega bytes x 8 bits = 48 mBits per second. |

| I like speedtest. net And the ones at broadband reports website. Verizon has their own speed test site too. I always try several different server sites, the closest are usually higher. |

| says that I am running at 54mbps. That's your wifi speed... the connection to the router. |
