Why would my Laptop freeze...I notice it freezes when I visit a site that I am searching on google and it is an newsworthy and a popular story. This has been happening a few times this past month. Any input would be appreciated.

Can you hear or feel the fan running?
Turn it over to see if the air vent is clogged.
Do you have it on a thicker cloth material preventing the cooling?
Try going to Youtube and watch a short clip to see it if freezes ubner stress.

Thank you owbist....it is on a table that is covered with oil cloth. I will check exactly the items you mention the next time it freezes. Thanks again you are always helpful to us here on Computer Forum.
