Web Of Trust (WOT)

It is that time of year when many shop on line. I suggest using WOT - Web of Trust. WOT is a free Internet security addon for your browser. It will keep you safe from online scams, identity theft, spyware, spam, viruses and unreliable shopping sites. WOT warns you before you interact with a risky website. It's easy and it's free.

Here is a link that might be useful: WOT Web Of Trust Free Download

WOT may be useful, but I would be very careful about using words like "It will keep you safe"...that's just begging for trouble, IMHO.

Very true! You would hope that the user would refrain from clicking on a bad site that was targeted. Some folks just can't resist!!!

It has been very helpful for me! Self discipline is the key!

and to add to that please be a good WOT member and if you find a bad site do your part and add your votes and comments on why it is bad. It is dependent on the community to do their part in informing all of us. If you hear of bad sites here or someplace else you can go to your wot page and enter the url for that site to see the Wot ratings and comments, there you can add your own comments and if you hit the edit your ratings you can add your ratings also, it is very important to help spread the word.
