| Vista Service Pak 2 came in through Windows Update last night. Took about 19 minutes to install including restarts. Everything seems to be running normally.

Vista SP2 was put on Windows Updates on May 26, 2009
The Platform Update for Windows Vista was released on October 27, 2009 ... would think platform maybe is what you recieved unless for some reason you havent been online much. |

| The offering for Vista SP2 through the update utility has been intermittent since it's release. Through my experience it initially was daily, then weekly and finally every three to four weeks. I still haven't done it. I just haven't had the time. I purposely don't hide it as I use the offering as a reminder that I have the update on a disk and sooner or later I have to install it. DA |

| Mikie I'm on the computer and online everyday. I'm thinking they must release these updates to various parts of the country at various times. I actually received the SP2 update for the first time on Thursday night and the Platform update on Friday along with some security updates for IE8. For some reason though the platform update wasn't checked and it still sits there as a recommended update. There was also another .NET update for the SP2 that also came through. Bob |

| Hey Bob I forgot, good to see you. How's things in up-state New York? It's been sunny and mid 50s to low 60s here in the Thumb of Michigan. Outstanding for entering the third week in November, and it being less than six weeks to Christmas. If this is global warming I am all for it. Oh, I am putting the snow thrower on the John Deere this weekend. The JD plow is all ready prepared. We both know this is weather is on borrowed time. Don't be a stranger. | Hi DA! Always good seeing you as well. We are having the same weather here in NY. Like you there it can always turn on a dime. Was off from work this week and started getting some Christmas decorations out. Here's hoping for a light winter and maybe that snow thrower of yours won't see to much action this winter! Bob |
