Thanks so much. Everyone here is so helpful. I did go to Lowes, Homedepot anad Wal-Mart just now and found nothing called Cal-Mag. The only thing I found that may help (and need your input) is Ironite. It contains Nitrogen 7.0%, Phosphate 6%, soluble potash 6%, sulfer 1%, boron .02%, Iron .1%, water soluble iron .1%, Manganese .05%, water soluble mangnaese .05%, zinc .05% and water soluble zinc .05% I've used it before on my azaleas. My question this time is, do I use the ironite along with the tablespoon of Epsom Salt? And, since I do use Miracle Gro liquid mixed with water and have had luck with it, when should I fertilize? I was concerened that the leaf discolorazation was to much fertilizer. So, the break down of question are: 1. Do I use the Ironite along with the epsom salt or don't use the ironite at all? If not, I seen nothing else. So, I assume just use the epsom salt. 2. Do they look like they have been over fertilized? If not, when would you fertilize? 3. I hate these hard brittle, curled leaves. If by some chance it is Broad Mites, what do I use to treat them with? I cannot afford Forbid, $229. The funny thing is, this nursery had over 100 of these plants and they all looked identical. Yellow, curling brittle leaves. Just trying to figure this out.

are you by any chance meaning that you had to do a reformat and full re-install on the computer or did you simply do a system restore to before you had sp3? If you did do a system restore after getting sp3 that could be causing many problems because it is not how you want to remove a pack update, what you should do is go to add remove and from there removed the sp3, when you do a system restore you end up with a real mess up of both the sp2 and sp3 files, which many people did and ended up with problems. You might want to go to your control panel then add remove programs and see if you see sp3 still listed there and if so remove it so that hopefully the remaining fragments will be removed. So depending on which method you actually did would definitely help know what to do. If you did do a reformat and now have to reinstall your programs that you got wiped away upon the reformat then you should be doing a regular re-install procedure on them as you had to do originally. It may be that you would need a more updated version of the picture it program also.

Hi Sapphires, - Open My Documents - Click on Tools - Click on Folder Options - Click the last tab; File Types - Scroll down to .JPE, .JPEG, .JPG - Highlight the first one - Near the bottom of the window it will tell you the name of the program that it opens with - Click Change & select the program that you want to open your pics - Make sure there is a check mark by "Always use this program etc" - Click Okay - Repeat these steps for the other 2 jpg extensions Hope this helps... : )) FlutteringBy

To woodchuck.mo: About Hydrangea color Unless a hydranagea is the standard white variety, its color depends on the PH of the soil (acidic to basic). The soil must be acidic to produce the blue color. If the soil is neutral (ph 7) to basic, the color will be pink. It works just like litmus papar in chem lab: litmus paper turns blue in acid and pink in basic solutions. It is tough in SE Wisconsin to get the blue color due to the high limestone content in our soils. Sulphur compounds are available at garden centers to acidify the soil around hydrangeas, but I have found that the recommended amount hardly affect our soils. There is too much limestone just beyond the plant's root circle. The blue to pink hydrangea is an inicator plant. It indicates the ph of your soil The beautiful blue color seen in garden centers are of plants grown in a pot where complete control of acidicy is possible. If you plant, I recommend the new variety called something like "ever summer" (not the exact name). It blooms on new wood in June whereas the standard plant blooms on 2nd year wood. Blooming on new wood was important to my hydrangea this year. The plant came out of dormancy too early this year due to our warm March. Buds swelled on the old wood and was about to break open when April freezes killed these buds. Later the stem died also, but the plant revived in May sending up new shoots from the root and these shoots have new blooms that will soon be open. Without the ability to bloom on new wood, I would not have any blossoms this year. As the blossom ages out, it turns green and finally browns in the fall. The bloom is long lasting, and new blossoms continue to appear as the older ones age out. The plant is susceptable to deer damage; the dear nip off new blossoms as they appear.
