I don't see Google's cache anymore. Did Google discontinue cache or did I inadvertently turn it off? And if I turned it off where do I turn it back on?

Google discontinued it, sorry to say, at least in the spot you are used to seeing it. You will see some arrows to the right of the links, if you click on the arrows, and box will open on the right hand side, and you will find cache there. Very inconvenient. I use cache all the time, so right now, have been using gigablast for a search engine, rather than Google. :-)Cat

So, I click on the arrows and get box where I can click on "cached" and the cache screen says the search terms are highlighted but they are not highlighted. I thought the highlighting was a most useful feature. Is this something I have done or something Google has not done?

Yep, pretty much how it now works. No, it is not anything you have done. Google has done it. Here is a link that you might want to read. Try gigablast, it still has the cache in the normal place.
Here is a link that might be useful: Google cache
