If you use yahoo messenger for years now, you have been able see/chat your contacts from the online yahoo email .. turn it on or off is easy. They have a new faster beta version now.. it loads in a blink... I've use it for a while now... it looks almost the same as the old and modern yahoo mail. Just slight differences... and faster.

Think I might close all my browsers and delete my cookies for yahoo with something like CCleaner. Then I might make sure I accept yahoo cookies, and go to www.yahoo.com and login. Use CCleaner to always save that cookie. Tell my browser to always accept their cookies. Then only have to login once every two weeks hopefully.

Thank you Raven!! I just went to change mine--I truly hate Yahoo mail. We use Entourage now but like you, keep yahoo for back-up; it's what we were given with at&t u-verse. What really pushed me over the edge was the fact that the email list kept bouncing around and it was very hard to use the mouse with it. It wasn't a computer problem since in the middle of using yahoo we got a new computer and the same thing happened. Can I ask you a question? On my yahoo account is a list of people, some whom I know and some not, and comments they have made. How do I delete all those? I've learned to ignore them but I'd love to get rid of them. I'm afraid to play around with it as I think I might inadvertently sign up for something!

I had that happen to me about a year ago, but there was a way of recovering it. I just don't remember HOW I did it, but look around their mail site. Maybe even ask Google. I was so relieved to get it back. I think someone had hijacked my account because right around the same time all of my contacts got an email from me that I didn't send. Also watch out if you have an Ebay or Paypal account. I had a problem with that at the same time and it took several weeks to get my money back from Paypal.
