Wind catcher: Today i finished it up. I found a good used deck belt, came from a friend who has around 30 or so Cubs in his back yard, and then i got to installing it. BUT---there were things in the way! So, i called Uncle Joe George, who is a local whiz on Cubs, and he came over and helped me put the belt on. Now, you can imagine how many parts were messed up, bent, out of adjustment, all that, but i finally got it together and i chased leaves for an hour. I'll take it back tomorrow or Sat. And, that'll probably be the last one until spring. Thanks to all for the help they have furnished on the stuff i had troubles with, and i'll be here copying the mail. Just had a visit by my bone-crusher Dr. of chiropractory, who came to pay his bill. He told me to keep on working-ain't no future in sitting down and dieing of boredom! And--who would fix his stuff?

You might have better luck posting over on the Computer Help forum. You'll need to tell them what operating system (version of Windows, if that's what you're running) along with you're scanner make & model...

The first problem is the scanner no longer has the prompt to scan any longer on my start page. The only way I can print is by using my File drop down at the top of the page now. I can't figure out how to scan pictures because there is nowhere to scan anything from now. I'm confused (most of they time anyway). Are you wanting to scan or print. I do see that if I go Start>My Computer>And right click on my Dell printer, there will be an option to scan. From there I see a choice of Abby reader, or Scanner and camera wizard. What do you see? Last week Dell and I emptied mine, so I too am trying to get everything put back on it. They just did the Operating System with me. There is also a scan button on the printer itself. Is your Dell out of warranty? If not, they should be able to help you with any settings necessary. Sue

I "might" do this with Microsoft Moviemaker..ivamae...I am using XP and that is a program on my computer. I think if you have Roxio or some other CD burner, you can do that sort of thing also..I'm just familiar with Moviemaker. I have a site saved that tells how to do a DVD with powerpoint. I haven't looked over that site, but I intend to before I make my final move on doing this...right now, I am just assembling pictures. I think if you googlied powerpoint to DVD, you would come up with some answers. And...if all else fails, the funeral home I will be going to will do it for you if you have your pictures or your pictures on a disc. I like the idea of the Over the Rainbow song also...I love that rendition of it. The one I saw had about fifty pictures and it was just about the right length (you don't want to bore everyone :o) I have about thirty in a file now.
