Well, it wasn't necessarily the cartridge. After many repeated paper jams, the thing died. STINKERS, I'm only half way thru the job. Now I have to pay to get the rest printed somewhere and then buy a new printer. DH ran out and luckily got the the ink store right before they were locking the door! So a new ink, no printer. What luck :( Thank goodness we have a little independant print shop right around the corner. I can run over tomorrow AM and print it out myself. Still, the entire venture has eaten all the profits of the job. GGG

Option-Command-Esc (pressed together) will get you to the force quit menu. Control-Command-Eject (pressed together) will close all applications and restart the computer Not quite sure what the problem may be but you might want to try a different browser, Safari isn't the best. I primarily use Firefox but also have Chrome. Both work fine. I haven't used Microsoft Office on a Mac in quite a while so I can't comment on it. I know they added Outlook and maybe something else to the current suite. I do use Open Office and have generally been pleased. The only drawback is that it is not 100% compatible with Microsoft Office. As an aside a while back I worked on a PowerPoint project with a guy who had MS Office on his Mac. At the time I had a Windows machine. What's interesting is that the Mac version of Office had features that Windows version didn't have. I recall there was a slide transition that we added on his Mac. The transition functioned perfectly on the Windows machine and I could even edit it but couldn't add it to another PowerPoint project.

I need a computer armorie to hold monitor, PC, printer. I don't want a huge one. I will put it next to dining table. So far, I didn't see anything at crate& barrel, Pottery barn or ikea. Ballard design's armoire is still over 1K. Where else can I find it? Thanks.

I highly recommend Crossville Tile. Below is the link. Click on any tile picture and it brings up all the colors in that category. They have hundreds to choose from. The best thing is if you call them, they'll mail you free samples, about 2" x 2". If you like the tiles, the flooring store will order them for you if they don't have a particular tile in stock. stock. They are a bit pricey though, but well worth it. We did our kitchen and laundry room in a rust and cream checkerboard pattern. The entryway has the same checkerboard pattern but in rust and brown. The style we used is "Color block".
