System requirements

I want to order a printer on line. Where do i go on my computer to find my system info to see if it is compatible?It says i need 300MGH

128 MB ram 800 MB hard drive...but i dont know where to find this.

In the run line try typing in
MSinfo32

the first page shows
Processor
Physical Memory

Then expand Components and you should see Storage.

On Mine, which is XP, Start> all programs> accessories>
system tools> system info. Grady

Sem, If you go to a reputable hardware or plumbing store, they have literature or specific operation of the pumps working pressure. If they don't provide it then don't buy it. Most pump vendors have the pump curves for the pumps they sell. The pump curve will tell you the head in feet (feet of head to psi is 0.443 psi/ft)the pump produces at certain flows. Since you will not have to lift your irrigation water very high, the pump will give the maximum pressure the pump can generate. Unfortunately companies like Sears don't have knowledgeable staff that can find out the pumps pressure rating for you nor is it in the literature. My suggestion is to go HD or Loewes or Sears or the local landscaping/irrigation store and see if someones can get you the info you need to make a decision. Also let us know how many heads, flow rate, type and brand you are using. With the size of operation you have, I would buy a pump big enough (1/2 hp) that has excess flow and pressure and regulate it down to what you need instead of trying a size there is not much buyer demand and info on. Honestly the best advice I feel I can give you is to hit some of the forums dedicated to the type of work you will be doing and ask them for advice since they are using the type of equipment and computer programs you will be needing, they will have much more experience in that field. Same as I would tell someone wanting a killer gaming pc to go frequent some of the gaming boards and ask for advice there. I can give you some generals, I personally much prefer AMD to Intel just from personal use and experience. The more Ram the better no matter what applications you will be running. Dual or Quad processors will be able to do much more than single and with these type apps that would probably be very helpful. You will definitely want a very large hard drive and probably a good size backup USB hard drive to store files on. laura there are two issues that jump out from the information you provided. 1. if you are like most of Virginia and have relatively inexpensive electric rates and operating costs are important to you, then you should leverage these rates by selecting high eff heat pumps either with var spd air handler or var speed furnace. 2.you need a properly performed load calculation for correctly sizing new HVAC. The quote that stated 175 KBTUs for heating is absolutely absurd whether 80% or 94+% efficiency. More is not better. If you plan on being in your home for the foreseeable future, I would not purchase any new system that did not include a var speed blower either in air handler or furnace. If lower floor system is still operating OK, then I would only concentrate on and replace the upper floor system at this time. I can make some equipment recommendations if you like. But insist on a load calc for both heating and cooling for both floors and get it in writing. IMO

Options 1&2 are total scams. TAC does nothing and the carbon is designed to remove chlorine and organics. While it is true it will improve the quality of the water for whole house use it must be replaced after it loads up, several years most likely. Option 3 will soften the water and I would suggest a carbon tank before the softener to remove the chlorine and extend the life of softener resin. The carbon tank will need to be rebed depending on chlorine levels and usage. RJH2O

In addition to the above, please consider Belarc. It is a safe, free, user-friendly, long-time recommended application which will provide you a plethora of information about your system at the click of an icon.

And if you do not want to install Belarc, which is an excellent program then try SIW (System Information Window) It is free, less than one meg in size and does not get installed. You simply download and double click on the executable file. Tells you probably as much as Belarc but I have never tried comparing the two programs. Very helpful if you have misplaced your activation code for any installed program

Use the SIW here sometimes to list logins and passwords that were used on website sites - and I cant remember.

Caroline, you can also right click on my computer. Choose properties, and right at the bottom of the box that opens, "Computer" should be a heading with all that info below it
