Sorry if I am coming off harsh, and I realize I don't speak for everyone here, their opinion might be a little more forgiving than mine. But as someone who's been put through the same hell by my piece of sh*t ex-wife that you are putting your husband though, I feel extremely entitled to offer my opinion, since you asked for opinions. I too was a "good honest man" (still am...lol!) who did not deserve it. I was always completely faithful to her. I worked my butt off getting a software business off the ground so my ex could be a stay-at-home for our two kids, which is what we both wanted from the start. And instead of being appreciated for working long days and weekends, then coming home and being a good dad and working on the house and all that, she eventually winds up resenting me for not being around enough and winds up having an affair with someone...which I didn't find out about for 9 months. When I found out, I said I understood (to a point) why she did this and wanted to fix our issues, and resolved to change some things make our marriage better. She said she wanted this too....but her heart was never really in it. Three years later she did it again....this time I told her I was done and we are now amicably divorced (on the surface anyway) and sharing custody or our two kids 50/50. I say "on the surface" because when I think of what she did to me, not only the affairs, but to string me along for years...knowing she wanted out but not having the courage to act like an adult end our marriage the right way before shopping for her next man, my blood freaking boils. I can't explain it, but I feel like I lived years of my life now in some giant lie...I was happy and thought things were pretty good. Good people DO NOT treat people like this. She completely disregarded me as a person, and did what was best for her, with NO regards for my feelings. I didn't matter at all....my pain was just "collateral damage" to her in getting what she wanted. To this day (5 yrs later), while I deal with her respectfully on a daily basis regarding the kids, deep down I wish nothing but bad things for her. The scars of being treated like this, by someone that you loved and treated with nothing but respect for 10+ years, do not heal easily. I suspect they never will. I (half) jokingly tell my friends that I just hope she dies before me so that I can take a big sh*t on her grave, as my final revenge. Well, now you know how your "good honest man" of a husband will feel about you when he finds out. And I hope your daughters do turn on you...you f*cking deserve it. Is it all over the plant or on a section, Barb? If it's not all over I'd just remove the impacted pieces. Do you give it supplemental water? If you water in a way that the stream hits the foliage I'd change that so that only the ground is wetted. I've never sprayed my peonies, we're pretty dry here in CO, but have heard of people/growers using fungicides for mold issues.

Some of our fabrics these days are just not that high of quality and will wear out quickly. If you are using an powder with sodium percarbonate (oxygen bleach) it will lighten clothing eventually. I hope the real laundry experts come by, but this is what I do. for darks, I wash on warm to very warm, on a permipress type cycle. Never "Normal" or "Regular" because those cycles are rough and are only there to meet the standards set forth for the energy star ratings, I believe. They will be harder on the clothes. Use a detergent designed for darks, such as powdered Cheer. There is a bit of oxygen bleach in the Cheer, but it is there to neutralize the household water chlorine. Its not there to provide whitening. Or you could use a liquid for darks such as Peroll for blacks, but that gets expensive if you have a lot of laundry. I usually dry by hanging or on a gentle cycle, lower heat. Dryers kill fabrics on high temps. I have several black slacks for work that are poly with stretch, and they look about as good as the day I bought them 4 years ago. They get washed weekly in Peroll on warm (104f) or very warm (120f) water and hung to dry. The threads are starting to wear. For medium colors, I use something like Cheer powder, or Peroll for colors, or Miele powder for colors. Again, on warm or very warm, and dry on lower heat. For whites, I use an oxygen bleach in my powder detergent. I still have a bunch of Persil Powder left and use it for all heavy duty cleaning. They don't make the powder any longer so I stocked up. Tide has a variety of powders. I use hot hot water. My hand towels get washed in 190f temps, because the are used on our working farm by my DH with grimy hands. The other whites get washed in 140f temps, which is my Hot cycle. My whites include my DH tee shirts, socks, and shorts, in addition to my white bath and kitchen linens. Sheets get washed in hot water (140f), even if they recommend cold. Hot water gets the body oils out of fabric. I use a gentler detergent then Persil, such as Grab Green. They have enzymes and some oxy, but no brighteners. I also use Le Blanc Linen Wash liquid sometimes. It smells good, but is expensive and sometimes I get tired of the smell, lol. For delicate clothing, I use Purex liquid, the one without any enzymes or brighteners. I use a hand wash cycle, and hang to dry. Cool water. Wools, silks, and down, I'll use a product made for those fibers and feathers. If there is no enzyme in the detergent it should be ok, but you have to know what to look for on the bottles to determine this.

The first 2 plants need to be watered when the top inch of the soil is dry. The second two are Aloe and Gasteria, they need to dry a little bit more before watering them. As Karen mentioned, don't splash water in the plant as it can rot the crown of the plant ( the water doesn't evaporate fast enough in the nooks where the water will settle and can cause rot). Best practice for watering is to water till excess water drains out the bottom drain hole. Never allow the pot to sit in water for more than say 15 minutes, pour off all the excess water. Light: first two need bright indirect light, the second two want some direct sun to full sun. But remember when placing a plant into direct sunlight, it must be acclimated to full sun. Plants not in direct sun will sun burn if placed into full sun to quickly. Acclimate by placing in direct sun light for short periods and increasing the length of exposure as the plant gets used to the stronger light.
