I havent used ws_ftp in eons so I can't steer you to the setting.... maybe someone here has WS_FTP and will chime in the steps.... but the ftp client I just opened, if I right click the connection ... or if I look in its Edit menu bar item ... there are advanced configurations or a connection wizzard and one of the first things are check boxes or bullets to set its Default connection to 'Active' or 'Passive' transers. Which ever way yours is set I'd suggest trying the other. Mostly FTP servers I connect with will be Active, but quite a few will be Passive... so I'm somewhat frequently getting connect problems because its usually set for the wrong default, and then I forget to set it back.
